I used to love this place, and sadly it seems to be another covid casualty. I try to at least order out to continue to support places while I cannot leave my home due to a respiratory issue. I had my brother pick up a large order recently, instead of ordering through an online service. It was wonderful! Just as I remembered. We got chips and salsa for every entre and all of the orders were right.
I've ordered from there 3 times since then via Uber Eats. It's been wrong twice, and the third order was half inedible. Both my husband and I are allergic to shrimp and they gave us a chicken and shrimp fajita burrito instead of steak, like we selected. Shellfish allergy is quite common, so I don't understand how this could happen by accident. We also only recieved one chips and salsa with all three of the past online orders. I wouldn't care if it didn't say every entree comes with chips and salsa.
I left a 3-star review on uber eats and complained about the order before this one, but I hope this wasn't retaliatory. I like to assume positive intent and hope this was an honest mistake. My order was refunded, but now we are down a meal for a person and need to scrounge together something or order another meal from elsewhere. Very inconvenient.
This was my favorite place after Maria Bonita went downhill and eventually closed. I'm not sure how much more I'll support agave since my orders seem to be wrong, especially when ordering using a delivery app. If you don't want to serve customers correctly via these apps, why participate?
My enchilada was okay....
Read moreI was very disappointed with my experience today. The food would have been alright if it had come as described. I specifically asked the waiter if anything else (not listed in the description) came on the meal, because I hate sour cream, and I was reassured that it came as described in the menu. Well my burrito had sour cream throughout, and came with the most watery lettuce, tomato, and onions on top which made my burrito soggy, none of which I wanted, or was listed on the menu. Thankfully it was only on one side, so I just ate the other side. The only reason I didn’t send it back was because of how damn slow the service was, and I was absolutely starving. This was a late lunch at about 2.30pm, and the restaurant was almost empty, so it’s not like there was a reason for how poor everything was. If I’m spending almost $14 on a single dish at lunchtime, I expect it to at least be correct. The only good thing about my experience was the free chips and salsa, beyond that it was a disaster. I’ve had better burritos at...
Read moreI ordered the Cabarones A La Mexicana and the house Margarita. The taste was about what I expected, good but nothing special. The shrimp still had the tails so not a good choice if you're the type that doesn't like having to do that yourself. The rice was very average. Margaritas were buy one get one, only for house margaritas. My boyfriend ordered a draft beer and Happy Hour is from 2 to close, buy one get one on drafts. The catch is they give you a glass thats large and put the two beers in it, although based on volume its more like buy one get another half for free. Overall a good place to go on a date night, but not a good place to go if you're just planning on drinking and getting an appetizer. Most margaritas are about $12. The specialty ones are delicious, but I wouldn't go here to get a buzz. Fresh Mex is definitely better than...
