I just had the absolute worst experience in the store with a rude employee who lacked any form of professional decorum. I purchased a luggage a few days ago for upcoming travel, and upon packing, it came to my realization that the seams and thread were coming undone, and a hole began to form. The luggage was poor quality, and when I took it back to return it, I was transparent about the reason why I was returning. Rather than accepting my return or advising me to contact corporate or even apologizing for the low quality of the luggage available, this woman began to berate me while I held my toddler. She advised that they didn't usually accept anything with a tear, and I advised her that this was a very new purchase and I was willing to call corporate if they were not willing to accept it. It seemed as if she was preoccupied with repeating herself stating that they didn't usually accept it, so I asked what that meant because I wasn't sure if they were or were not willing to accept it in this instance and that I was willing to call corporate to advise them of the issue with the quality of the luggage if that were the case. She proceeded to tell me that she didn't care about the luggage and that she was just letting me know this was a courtesy which I told her she had repeated on a multitude of occasions and that I was appreciative however there was no need for her to attempt to demean me because it was not my fault that the luggage was made of poor quality. She then stated in a hostile and aggressive manner that this just can't happen again and it was so bewildering that I advised that I wouldn't be returning to this store, even though I have spent thousands and she said that she was glad and didn't care. She was absolutely insufferable and had no kind of customer service. The cashier is someone that I've purchased from on a plethora of occasions and have always had a positive exchange to the point where she has recognized my toddler but this is the first time I've experienced something of this sort and this is the first time I've ever interacted with this employee who should not be a manager. Upon leaving the store I called to get the name of this person as I wasn't sure if it was a manager and ironically she answered and advised that she wouldn't tell me her name and didn't have to and disconnected the call. She was tattoo ridden and completely unethical in her demeanor, especially as I had a small child. It was completely unacceptable, and I have reached out...
Read moreI’ve shopped loyally at Ross as my favorite store for EVERYTHING for the last 15 years. The experience I had at this Ross was absolutely ridiculous . I felt like I was in a James Bond movie . I’m buying one volcom shirt being watched like a criminal I walk up to start to self checkout but it had one of those pesky things on it so I turn to go to the manager who was standing at the ONE open register she said no go through self check out than screams to the two staff members “ to do a lap “ as they run around the area I was browsing in , then you get to there self check out the lady is nasty to You you scan and pay for item the lady comes and takes the security thing off . Then I have to take “two steps forward” for loss prevention To scan the top of my receipt and one random item (I had only 1 item ) it felt like going through customs or what a prison intake would feel like never again will I spend a dollar there . Invest in some staffing for registers and management not outsource to rent a security squad . Next they’re gonna make you take off your shoess . Discrimination awful will not be back...
Read more03/13/20: Scored another deal today, black designer sandals orig $120 on their website marked down to 27.99, and another bikini set almost $90 retail got for 13. I would never get this somewhere else. There was someone there they said they drove all the way from Ocala to shop there. I wish I could shop on their website!
I haven't been to the one at the outlets, but in my experiences shopping at Ross stores here in Daytona and other states, I prefer Ross over other discount stores. I reliably get better deals and I feel, a broader variety of merchandise. I'll include fashions in that statement. As a woman I find good pieces, and practical quality clothing that I can enjoy from work to weekend. I don't care for the "resort casual" or over 40 type clothing. I have better luck here than other places. I bought a $12 Versace scarf at a Ross. Silk, twelve dollars. My only complaint is that they seem fairly picked over and not sure how often they get...
