Disappointing Experience at Janissa's Diner - Inconsistent Hours

I made a special trip to Janissa's Diner in Ormond Beach today, arriving at 2:40 PM with plenty of time to spare before their posted 3:00 PM closing time. Unfortunately, I was informed that they were already closed for the day.

This kind of inconsistency between posted hours and actual operations is incredibly frustrating for customers who plan their day around a business's published schedule. When establishments don't honor their stated hours, it wastes customers' time and gas, and frankly shows a lack of respect for the people who choose to support their business.

If the restaurant needs to close early, the responsible thing to do would be to update their posted hours or at minimum put up a sign explaining the early closure. As it stands, potential customers have no way of knowing whether the business will actually be open during their advertised hours.

I hope management addresses this issue, as reliability and consistency are fundamental expectations customers have when choosing where to spend their money. Until they can commit to their posted schedule, I'd recommend calling ahead to confirm they're actually open before...

What a find! 😁 I worked a 12-hour overnight shift, and all I really wanted at the end of it was breakfast. Jenisa's Diner popped up on Google with 4.9 stars, so I had to try it. I was greeted with a smile and seated promptly. My server, Sarah, was super charismatic and efficient. My food came out fast, hot, and with no mistakes, and best of all, it all tasted great.

The atmosphere is warmed by the owner's presence and that of her employees. They all seemed happy to be of service, and I loved watching them interact with their regulars. All in all, I had a great experience, and I can't wait to come back to try some of the other items on their menu.

*I'm OCD, and unlike most people, I pay extra attention to the cleanliness of every restaurant. This restaurant is one of the cleanest restaurants I've ever eaten at. Your pride in your establishment truly shows. 😊

I had high hopes for this restaurant based on the high reviews. I do want to state this review has nothing to do with the service which was good. Wondering if the reviews are from family or friends. We had lunch.. and it was just OK. The picture of the burger on the menu.. looked like a smash burger.. it arrived looking like a burger you would get at the ball field frozen from Sam’s. . Perfectly circular…The fries were not good.. the battered kind. The prices were a high for the quality in my opinion. Breakfast might be better .. haven’t experienced that. But I was underwhelmed .. Many other places in town with great burgers and fresh cut fries for the same prices or less to...
