China Palace — Restaurant in Orofino

My wife and I had an amazing dinner! We're visiting Orofino on a lengthy RV road trip and two people we ran into recommended China Palace (the only Chinese place in town). We were pleasantly surprised by the our wonderful meal. Our waitress, who also busily handled a bunch of "to-go" orders was very pleasant, attentive and friendly. The restaurant was spotlessly clean and well decorated, though a little dark. Our pot-stickers were perfectly cooked with just the right crisp finish while being soft and quite tasty. Our egg rolls were good and crispy and obviously not from a frozen box. The Chef's Chow Mein was full of quite a variety of extremely fresh ingredients with nicely done noodles, the shrimps were large and fresh and the chicken NOT dry... amazing! This is an adorable restaurant. The atmosphere is fantastic as well. When you sit down they have these Chinese zodiac place mats. That’s a fun little addition to your meal! The service is great. My waitress is very cute and polite! Love her. On to the food; I ordered their lunch special L#2 for $12.50. It comes with teriyaki chicken, broccoli chicken, and a cup of egg flower soup. Oh man ! Where do I begin. If it was possible I would give zero stars but it makes me give at least a star. The food was very bland and disgusting.We have been to many Chinese restaurants in many different states. This is by far the worst. We had to ask for our appetizers. We were told “ they didn’t give them to me” . The fried wontons are just basically strips of fry bread. Every place we have been had had some kind of meat inside. This was just strips. Our bill for 4 people with 2 appetizers and 4 drinks over $100… So go have pizza somewhere...
