China Wok — Restaurant in Ossian

China Wok opened its doors in December 2000.

Throughout the first 10 years of its existence it had an all day buffet, as well as booths and other tables in a second room.

Four years or so ago, China Wok closed its dining room, and it is smaller than it used to be.

There is one Chinese lady that does most of the cooking in the kitchen, she also delivers the foods to the customers in the “lobby.”

China Wok relies solely on “take-out” orders.

If you want to, you can “dine in”, or you can do “take-out.”

She is very friendly, and is a great person to talk to.

China Wok is awesome. I have never actually eaten inside, but the carry out is great. If you call in your order, you can leave the house and it's ready to pick up when you get there. Never takes more than 10 minutes to get your food. Prices are reasonable and the portions are huge. They even offer delivery with a minimum purchase. Excellent tasting food. My daughter isn't a Chinese food fan, so ordered the catfish dinner. Watched them bread and fry in the kitchen. Fresh and perfectly seasoned. I had the Hunan beef which was cooked correctly, the broccoli being the standout along with the sauce which had just the right amount of heat🌶️ Cleanliness could've been a little better and would get them a 5th star for sure.
