Tanner's Bar & Grill- 119th — Restaurant in Overland Park

I’m not one to write bad reviews often but our experience at this Tanner’s location was so bad and ruined our evening. We came with the intention to stay to watch a football game with a group of 8. To begin, our waitress told us she was new so going into the evening, we were prepared. We ordered drinks and food right away, however after we ordered, we noticed that our waitress began to ignore us. It took over 30 minutes to get refills of our waters (another waitress ended up helping us out filling up our waters and taking our 2nd round of drink and food orders) and then eventually our food came out. Fries were excellent but my grilled cheese was cold. Then after we ate, we maybe saw our waitress two or three other times within about 2 hours. She blatantly seemed to ignore our table as she was visiting the other tables in her section frequently. Then once our game was wrapping up, it came to figuring out the bill since we were in a group of 8. We got our check, then handed our card. Once she came back after running our card, she gave us a receipt with a larger cost than what we had originally. My credit card was even showing the extensive charge that I shouldn’t have paid. We complained and complained and she kept reiterating that they removed the excess charges from my credit card but they are still on my account. I’m super frustrated with being overcharged along with our awful service and will be following up with managment as this is just unacceptable. Tanner's is located close to where I live making it convenient for me to go to or grab food to go from. The menu selection is ample and has something for any appetite. The daily food specials are pretty good especially tacos and nachos night. I like how they offer different types of tacos such as the street tacos with chicken or beef, mahi mahi tacos, and hard or soft shelled tacos with choice of chicken or beef. Chicken lips are delicious and can be fried or grilled. The hours posted for Tanner's are correct, however it seems they close the kitchen and/or whole place down early sometimes.

I have not been recently as I have been busy, but they used to have singo (bingo with songs) and if you win you get a giftcard. It's fun and the whole family can play for free.

Service is hit or miss honestly. I've had waitresses who have gone above and beyond. My last visit the waitress did not give 2 .... well you know the saying. After waiting almost five minutes we ordered drinks... She forgot my margarita, twice. Second time we were halfway done eating and before ringing it in she came to the table to tell me she forgot to ring it in again. She said she could ring in 2 right then so she wouldnt forget again. I told her one was okay. She brought me two. It was not busy which was the most frustrating part of the experience.

I wish I could give this zero. I have been here multiple times because I loved Tanners in Manhattan ks. This one was never as good but it was okay starting out and close to home, so convenient but the last few times I've been it has been absolutely awful. I go mostly to watch sporting kc soccer but many time there has been some problem with showing it. I have been treated rudely by one of the bartenders. Their times do not match what they say. Tonight specifically was the last straw for me where the kitchen is said to close at 10, they closed it at 930 when there were still approx 25 people there that I could count, one being a table of 6-7 that had sat down but left because they couldn't order food and then to top it off they say last call in 5 mins at 955 when for one it says they close at 12 and then I ask my waiter what time they're shutting down and he says 1015-1020 so you've got 15-20mins to get your last drink and drink it when I know most bars,or at least every bar I've been to, gives you an hour. This is the most unorganized, unprofessional bar I have ever been to and I've given more than a fair share of chances and I'm fed up and will not...
