main bar & grill — Restaurant in Ovid Township

We came 2 weeks ago, but no tables were open, so we left, but agreed that we would come back. We agreed that if a bar is that packed, they're doing something right, we would just have to try it another night.

This time there was a table open when we arrived. The waitress brought our drinks right away. The food came out really fast.

They had 3 servers working. I appreciated how they all worked together, checking on ALL the tables. That's great teamwork, and as a diner, I appreciated that our table wasn't assigned to one single person.

Everything was really good, they kept our drinks full. If you have sensitive ears, be advised that the din is very loud here.

Cash is king here, so make sure you bring the old fashioned cash money with you! They'll reject your card when you put it...

I'm pretty sure Toby Keith wrote I Love This Bar after visiting the Main Bar in Ovid. It's perfect! The up north atmosphere is charming. The service is beyond excellent. (The servers work together like a dream team.) And the food...this is the best bar food with large portions and fantastic prices. The burgers are huge and perfectly cooked. The appetizers are all generously portioned as are the dinners. They even have outdoor seating. What more can you ask for?!

Walked in to have a drink and they denied both of my valid IDs (MI State and Military). Simply saying sorry we’re not going to risk it. Excuse me? Risk what? I’m 23yrs old and it was only 9:43pm🤷🏾‍♂️
