I Love Pho — Restaurant in Oxnard

First I have to say I have been a loyal Customer of this place in until today. I always got the same plate which consists of rice, chicken , 1 egg and shrimp. I know exactly how much it costs! So today I went in and when I got home upon checking my card statement I noticed they over charged me two dollars. I called them to ask why I was very nice and respectful, I stead the guy that answered the phone said you were charged more because you got three items chicken, shrimp and egg. I said that makes no sense that is what I always get and never pay this much. I asked to speak to a supervisor or the owner. After being put on hold Jerry (the owner) answered the phone was very rude and instead of explaining he told me with an attitude to come back to the restaurant so he could give me two dollars back. I was not about to drive across town for two dollars . That was not the point! In my opinion if you want a tip ask for it don’t falsify my signature and put that I’m giving you a tip. The lesson here is honesty!! Also the way they handle credit cards it’s quite sketchy. Also sometimes they can be quite rude that’s why I would always order to go. It sucks because the food is good. I didn’t know Vietnamese food could suck.

I spent nearly $50 for a plate and a pho.

The plate was the I love Combo plate, which was a whopping $25 and it was served with assortment of stale meat that tasted like it was made the morning and was served to us at 7pm. The veggies were ok but the pickled carrots were not good. The Sriracha sauce was the saving grace. Overall this dish could have been $12 and I still wouldn’t buy it.

The pho was cheapened out. What I mean is, there was 90% noodles and 10% meat. The broth was forgettable. It wasn’t any better than the combo plate.

Looking at the competition (Pho Saigon in Port Hueneme) this place needs to do a LOT better. If they did the place wouldn’t be so empty.

My husband took me and his mom to this place and when we walked in there's no customer and we thought we're lucky so we booked table for 3 people and we ordered 3 pho but it turned out to be tooooooo oily(literally thick layer oil were floating) we returned and asked them to change but seems like they just took out the oil and the vegetables were stirred up completely already,not decent to eat. The owner removed the oil and trying to push that it is not oily ( we have eyes and we know what's oily and what's not) and we decided not to eat anymore because the owner insisted about the food, but we're like, "let's go".
