Been coming here for decades but the last time I was here was the final time. Went here after a 12 hour shift. Was drained, tired. Just wanted a simple meal to call it a night. Ordered the 2 can dine special. Get home, it’s only sides, no chicken. I’m so drained from work I just think, I’ll eat the sides drive there tomorrow and ask for the chicken with my receipt. Get there the next day around opening time. Explain what happened. Manager comes up to me after I explained to the register girl. Is immediately confrontational. Demanding, not asking, demanding to know why I didn’t call the restaurant as soon as I knew the chicken was not there. Tell him I was tired. Didn’t even consider that, I honestly thought a courteous appearance would be fine. No manager didn’t like that. Starts speaking very aggressively about how he can’t just hand out free chicken. I tell him I don’t want free chicken, I want the chicken I paid for and never got. He tells me how this 1 time he’ll give me a hand out, his exact words. But never again. They can’t get your order right because cause machine on the drive-thru isn’t working right (you have to consider it before you give them your money) even if you drive a very long distance and find out they messed up your entire order and coming back to get a full refund for it, they are trying to make you drive another 10 miles to get their terrible, messed up food, but they refuse to give you a ride to do so or reimburse you for the gas, they don’t refund you unless you have it on you, keep wasting your time, not being helpful, being stubborn and difficult. But then I’ve learned that entire franchise is kinda a joke regarding customer service. Having this situation made me realize that it’s the policies and neglect from the ownership making look their employees bad at your job, useless when helping customers, and refusing to be accountable— the savages of a restaurant business. Read moreFood is always good at Popeyes, can't complain since there are no Church's in Oxnard :D Well... the only complaint would be the wait time, there is always a wait at the drive thru even though you place the order via app. It is so bad that they had to put cones to reroute the drive thru line. Forget about going there if there are any promo, the line spills out to the street. Next time I should probably opt for pickup from store than go through the drive thru.
Update... There is also a wait picking up mobile order in store even though there is specifically a line for mobile pickup - doesn't matter as there's only 1 member attending behind cashier. Then there's 1001 question to pickup your mobile order, he asked for verification code, asked to see name on the order. The app doesn't show these anywhere. Instead I showed the confirmation email received - doesn't show my name either. I understand the extra step is to avoid theft, but what are the chances of someone guessing my name and order correctly unless it's actually me? Common sense lacking big...
