Really, really bad. My boyfriend and I entered the building and were not greeted or acknowledged. A couple of men were paying and were arguing with the owner. After about ten minutes they settled their drama and left. The owner approached me... very, very closely... like, I could feel his breath on my face, and confirmed two were seating. He handed us menus and pointed us to the dining room. There was almost nowhere to sit as the few clean tables were already occupied, and literally every other table was piled with dirty dishes and garbage. We sat ourselves in the center of the dining room and began to debate whether we were REALLY going to eat here.
Before we even ordered drinks, the only server in the restaurant came out and re-confirmed the order of the table behind us. She went back to the kitchen and returned to the dining room with their food and tried to give us their meals. We had to point her in the right direction. She only had two hands and this other table was a party of four, so she retreated to the kitchen for the rest of their food and AGAIN tried to give it to us. We reiterated to her that we had not yet ordered.
The owner comes over to us and gets right in my face. Like literally, merely inches from my face. It made me extremely uncomfortable. He asked me what I wanted to drink, I asked for water and this upset him. My boyfriend also asked for water and we ordered a pizza. I had to tell him three times what our two topping pizza order was. He did not write our order down. My boyfriend watched in horror as the owner turned around and went to the sink, poured us tap water from the sink and fished ice from a bin with his bare hands, gave it to the wrong table who already had water, and retreated to the kitchen shouting the wrong pizza order. As this happened, the lone server entered the dining room looking incredibly confused and actually threw a basket of toasted bread chunks on our table. ??????
We got up and left. I don’t care how good your food is or how cute it is that the business owner is a 90 year old man. he can’t practice basic food safety and LITERALLY breathes down the necks of young women that come into his restaurant. 0/10...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I went to Luigi's for a takeout order of pizza and chicken risotto. The restaurant had sticky tables, wobbly chairs, cardboard on the ground with food all over it, and holes in the ceiling. There were no other customers in line to order and it took a good 10 minutes for a very nice lady to get Lugi to notice us and take our order. It took another 90 minutes to prepare our food. Additionally during our wait, the staff was cussing at each other about taking phone orders. They were prepping food on the front counter...where customers were putting down potentially dirty objects like pursues and children's shoes. Furthermore, another customer had ordered a basic pepperoni pizza 45 minutes in advanced, and they didn't even start making it yet. They told her 20 more minutes and she left at 20 minutes. Finally, we got our takeout...it was cold, uncooked and the wrong order... I only got 1 of the 3 toppings I requested and paid for them....and the girlfriend who told them she has a seafood allergy had seafood in her "chicken risotto"...luckily there was alot of it in big chunks; so we didn't take a trip to the E.R.
Be cautious visiting this establishment. I won't be...
Read moreLuigi’s Italian Restaurant is a cozy and casual place that serves delicious pizza and other Italian dishes. I visited this restaurant with my partner on a Monday evening and we had a great time. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was ok, nothing special. We ordered the sausage pizza, the spaghetti with meatballs, and the tiramisu for dessert. The pizza had a thin and crispy crust, topped with generous amounts of cheese and sausage. The spaghetti was cooked al dente, and the meatballs were tender and juicy. The tiramisu was light and creamy, with a nice balance of coffee and chocolate. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. We enjoyed our meal in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, with soft music playing in the background.
