Subway — Restaurant in Palatine Township

First time at this location and never returning. The gentleman working was rude, rushed, and not understanding. I rarely go to Subway as is, so I take time to look at the menu. I noticed the tuna sandwich was not listed. I tried asking about it, but was brushed off. They did have tuna but I didn't know what usually comes on it. I tried asking about 3 times what usually comes in it and he didn't give a clear answer. At least be honest if you don't know and let me know, "Hey sorry I'm not sure what usually comes on it, but let me know what you want to add on it!" So, there were a lot of window decorations that were blocking my view of unfresh ingredients and I was trying to see what I wanted to put on my sandwich. I asked for both lettuce and spinach and then the gentleman was like, "oh so basically everything" and started tossing and mixing ingredients everywhere! He added items without me wanting it on the sandwich. He just assumed that I wanted everything. After that, I was done. Just wanted to leave. Almost wanted to walk out without getting my sandwich but I decided to be polite and at least pay and take my sandwich. Regardless, never coming to this location...

Went in today and ordered a six inch tuna, a bag of chips and a Chicken noodle soup. I’m not sure why some stores don’t have soup already heated like it should be. One of the employees had to grab some soup from the back and heat it up for about 5 min or so. Once he grabbed the soup, I knew it was boiling because the worker spilled some on himself and it definitely looked like it hurt. I was careful when I opened the soup, but then realized this nasty stench coming from my soup. The color of the soup looked like the broccoli cheddar soup. Mind you this was supposed to be Chicken noodle soup. Once I tried it, it was disgusting, I immediately spit it out and did not eat it. Unfortunately I was already far from the store that I couldn’t go back and get a refund. I hope no one else gets a nasty chicken...

Moved into the neighborhood recently, been there twice and had two poor experiences. First time, I got there about 1 & 1/2 hours before they were supposed to close and they were closing up shop. Gentleman working was rude to me. When I left, he shut off the lights and locked the door behind me way before closing time, felt like he was mad at me for coming in during hours and preventing him from leaving early.

Went there tonight at 7:40 pm and they were supposed to be open till 8:30 pm. Place was closed. Not sure if the problem is understaffing created by bad management or a substandard employee that closes up the shop earlier than he or she is supposed to, but the Subway 2 miles down the road is open at posted hours and staff has been friendly both times I have been in there, so I will be going there...
