I had high hopes for this restaurant, as we had enjoyed Regional a while ago. The terrace was lovely and the whole restaurant was not busy and we got water right away. Then things went downhill. We had to flag someone down after waiting 15 minutes or so for someone to come and take our drink order. Then we ordered lunch - a burger with a salad/ranch dressing and a tuna tartare. A long time went by no one came over. After about another half hour no one still came by so we found our waitress again and asked for another beverage and asked about our meal. We got our drink and asked to see the manager, since it was now about 1 1/2 hours since we arrived and no food. There had been a photo shoot going on (and the owner was onsite) and the server said that the kitchen was busy making food for the shoot. I saw a couple in another part of the terrace who arrived after us who had their meal. said (somewhat sarcastically) that I didn't think that the tartare needed any cooking. after another several minutes our order came out. My friends salad dressing was wrong and my tartare came right out of the fridge with cold crackers. We asked to see the manager who eventually came over, apologized and he offered to inquire as to what was the delay. He came back with the correct salad and dressing and no information. The server was very apologetic and when our bill came she said that the manager had comped us each a drink. We never saw him again and never got an explanation. Too bad. We will never be back. Awful experience with inattentive staff and unimpressive kitchen. I can't imaging how it is when they are busy - unless they never aren't ever busy. Food mediocre, service bad,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSecond chance at this restaurant last time we will be dining there. To start, when we arrived and were seated, there were 2 tables dining, amidst about 30 tables that were empty. The hosta sat us 4 in a corner banquet, next to the water station.I asked to be moved to a more roomy banquets and the hostess replied ā I think that is reservedā Nobody showed up at all after we were seated therefore, all the tables were available and we were forced to sit in a tight banquet, not very smart judgment on her part. We then proceeded to have a waitress who must have been her first day on the job? She was a complete mess. She never checked on us once, we had to ask for water from another attendant, She forgot my husbands Caesar salad. We all were served and he had to wait 20 minutes for his Cesar salad to finally arrived and then all the other entrĆ©es arrived at the same time! The pizza was disgusting although the menu said Basil on the classic pizza, when we asked where the āBasilā was, she said that it was in the sauce. If an ingredient is listed on the menu as basil, one would think that it would be āfreshā basil on the pizza. After waiting, and waiting to be checked on, we finally received our checks, she got the checks wrong. Of course she had to revise the checks. We then gave her our credit cards. We signed a bill. We left 20 minutes later we received a phone call saying that they did not have our credit card on file. We then had to give them our credit cards over the phone again for them to charge our cards. This place is a disaster cannot believe chef Lindsay Autry would list basil on the menu for a pizza and not have fresh basil...

Honeybelle at PGA National Resort offers a charming atmosphere with a relaxed, old Florida inspired vibe. The decor is inviting, and at first glance, it sets the expectation for a refined dining experience. Unfortunately, the execution doesnāt quite match.
Whatās the furniture supposed to be nostalgic or actual vintage? Some notable wear and tear.
Service was inconsistent. When we arrived for dinner, we waited at the hostess stand long enough to wonder if we were supposed to seat ourselves. Once the hostess finally appeared, it was another 10-minute wait before our server arrivedādespite the restaurant being more empty than full. Oddly, after all that waiting, the service suddenly felt rushed as we were hurried to get our orders in before happy hour ended. The pacing just felt off.
The food was fineājust not fine dining. It wasnāt bad, but nothing stood out as particularly memorable or worth the price point. Given the setting and the resortās branding, we expected more. Breakfast the next morning followed the same pattern. The meal was okay, but at $100 for two, it absolutely wasnāt worth the price.
Overall, Honeybelle is underwhelming. It has the potential to be a standout restaurant, but the experience felt more casual than expected, both in service and in food quality. If youāre staying at PGA National and need a convenient meal, itāll do the job. But if youāre looking for something special or worth the price, you might want to explore other dining options.
Would I go...
