I’ve been to a lot of different, Hispanic food restaurants, and I have to say out of all of them. I have never felt more unwelcome that I did the day that I went to EL Molino I walked after placing an order for pick up the order, said it will take 20 minutes for the food to be ready after walking in I went to the counter and waited for an attendant. I saw a waitress dealing with the customer who was also dealing with a pick up order, I waited until she was done then watched the waitress walk away from me and head to the back. I then continue to wait for anyone to acknowledge me after 15 minutes one waitress acknowledge me, but she only spoke Spanish. I tried to work with her, and she was unable to do so I then saw multiple waitresses, going back-and-forth, trying to figure out who was going to deal with the only English-speaking person in the store, which was me , the original waitress that walked away from me seem to not wanna have to deal with me and had an attitude towards taking my order or even seeing what I wanted after another 5 to 10 minutes said waitress came back and asked me very bluntly. What did I want after trying to explain to her that I was a pick up order and it was under my name she told me that my order wasn’t ready and walked away after waiting additional 10 minutes another woman came by and then tried to work with me and we ended up using Google Translate after she figure it out but I’ve been waiting here for over 35 minutes just for a pick up order, she decided to give me someone else’s pick up order food so I would leave will not be returning again. Have to say worst experience I’ve ever had in a Mexican...
Read moreWe came to this restaurant because we saw that there was a "white party" event. We ordered white clothes just for this event, spent time getting ready and came to the restaurant. When we got to this restaurant we told the host that we were there for the white party, at no point was this interrogated, We also told them that we had reserved a table for dinner ahead of time. We were shown to a table, but no one came to see us for about 10 minutes. After that point I waved down a bus boy, and he gave us some menus. After 10 minutes of being totally ignored again, we had to wave down someone just to get serviced. After ordering and eating food, and a bunch of drinks, we were told that the white party, that was publicly shared online, was a private event, and so we had to leave. To make matters worse, our 4-person group was charged a gratuity, in addition to the tip we already gave, just to leave. Disappointing for our first time. Our waitress was fine, but the rest of the people we tone death, and in addition, the food wasn't as good as I've had at other...
Read moreBUYERS BE AWARE It was the second time that this restaurant charged me 18% for service. Last time I thought it was because my party was of 6 people. I did not like it but I still came back yesterday only to find out that this restaurant charges 18% on top of the check automatically when it is more than $100. I used to complain about this in Virginia because what it does is that the servers don’t care about providing a good service. My server was kind but she disappeared after serving our food. Only came at the end. My cazuela mixta came out very cold so I returned it to get it heated up. Otherwise the food tasted good. The places is well decorated and the servers mean well. However, I got very disheartened about this fact. It is abusive to charge ahead. Then the server still was waiting to see if I was going to put EXTRA tip without warning me that there already was an 18% added. I realized about it and then she explained it to me. I will always tip my waiter/waitress but I want to have a chance to reward a good service or not so much if they don’t...
