An awesome family run restaurant- friendly service, awesome Cuban food. We were there at about 4.30pm for an early dinner. There is a takeout section and a sit down area plus a bakery. If you chose to eat in, just sit down & someone will give you the menu. They have daily special for the day, do check it out, it is by the corner of the takeout section or check the menu. We do not understand Spanish... no problem, they speak English well & will gladly translate for you. I had the Cuban steak with rice, beans & sweet plantains & my husband had the special of the day, pork, rice, beans & sweet plantains. In addition we ordered sugar cane juice & cafe con leche- Cuban coffee with milk. The steak was very tasty served with carmelized onions & lime (do not need the lime), the beans was in a thicken gravy that you can pour over the rice- so tasty! The pork was like a stew- the flavour was so good, you know it is stewed for awhile as the meats falls off the bones! Highly recommend you try the sugar cane juice & the cafe con leche. Not to be missed! 5 thumbs up for this place. Oh yes, we got a couple of meat (beef) empanadas for breakfast The dinner are served with a delicious Cuban bread - toasted & buttered- Yum!

I recently visited Tropical Bakery, and I was blown away by the experience! The moment I walked in, I was greeted with the warm, inviting aroma of freshly baked goods. Their pastries were simply divine—each bite of the guava and cheese pastelito was a perfect balance of sweet and tangy, wrapped in a flaky, buttery crust. The croquetas were crispy on the outside and wonderfully creamy on the inside, an absolute must-try! The coffee was another highlight. Rich, strong, and full of flavor, it paired perfectly with the pastries. It's clear they take pride in brewing each cup to perfection. The service was also exceptional. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure I felt welcome and well taken care of throughout my visit. Overall, this bakery offers an authentic taste of Cuban cuisine with top-notch service. I can't wait to go back and try more of their delicious offerings!

Spent $60 on food in total with 18 of it being a flan got home and realized there was mold on it. They are currently closed so nobody is available to answer my call but hopefully a manager will see this before I arrive to exchange it tomorrow, or give me something else also due to the fact that I have to drive back again, which is very inconvenient and understand my frustration as this is literally one of the first pitstops I’ve made moving back after 10 years because of how much I love the flan. Very disappointed, i’ve literally told hundreds of people in Vegas about this flan…

I can’t even describe how disgusted this place made me today, the customer service was absolutely horrible. I preordered for a platter of croquetas via the phone and specified it should be enough to feed 50 people instead what did I get a platter with enough croquetas to feed maybe 12 people with how tiny they were. I could not believe the little platter the girl presented me with and for a minute I even thought it was a joke especially because one of the attendants had a huge smile from ear to ear staring at me. I said no mam’m I requested a platter enough to feed 50 people not 10 or 12 people! The girl that handed me the platter said “I was the one who received your phone call I gave you what you wanted 50 croquetas” I told her once again I told you I needed enough to feed 50 people this is only only going to feed a maximum of 12 people. I then asked to speak to the manager who comes out and the first thing I ask her is “ Do you really think that this platter here is going to feed 50 people?” This poor excuse of a Manager had the nerve to repeat the same thing that the other girl said that I had requested 50 croquetas and that is what they gave me I repeated myself all over again, and said “Once again, I told the girl over the phone that I needed enough to feed 50 people!” “This is really bad what’s happening here and in good faith the employee should have told me over the phone that 1 platter wouldn’t be enough.” The Manager then proceeded to tell me that they can’t tell me something like that. Mind you the girl was still standing there with a huge smile staring at me I then told the Manager look at your employee she’s even standing there obviously mocking me with that huge smile this entire time the employee then said oh no I’m not I’m just always happy that’s why I’m smiling… the girl must of thought I was stupid to believe this… the manager didn’t even try to help me out and basically said that they didn’t do anything wrong and put the entire blame on me Instead of trying to do something to satisfy the customer. This used to be a decent place when the old man was there but I guess now that it’s passed down to the kids all they care about is the money . Needless to say I will never go back to this place again again and to top it off the croquetas weren’t even warm, they tasted like they were a day old and I later found out other places typically charge $22 however this...

2025 Update: It seems they edited their initial response so that it sounds less rude and then intentionally added a second, more rude response. Thank you for proving my point that you are nasty people who should go out of business. 😂 Pathetic. VICKY BAKERY is opening a Boynton Beach and a Palm Beach Gardens location soon. Royal Palm and Boca are open.*

Previous update: I wrote this review TWO YEARS AGO and have NEVER returned after a horrible experience and just now came across and read the business’s dismissive and condescending response to my review. I JUST WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW THAT VICKY BAKERY (WHO TAKES CREDIT CARDS) IS OPENING LOCATIONS IN ROYAL PALM AND BOCA VERY SOON AND YOU WILL NEVER HAVE TO TOLERATE A VISIT TO THIS TERRIBLE PLACE AGAIN.

Original review: Rudeness with customers and (as another reviewer also experienced) they skip people who ordered first and make them wait longer while they wink at and serve what appear to be regulars as soon as they walk in. The 2 loaves of Cuban bread my husband picked up on 12/26 were totally misshapen and had no score (slash) as if a trainee or an amateur had made them. Some of the pastries he brought home were stale. Worse than that, the customer service is...
