As the owner who is there 85% of the time, take the bad reviews with a grain of salt. We try our hardest to meet all the demands of our customers. We won't serve people who come in already drunk, or try to give us a photo copy of an I.D. Our staff works hard to try to help people as much as possible and some people just will never be happy. So when reading reviews remember that some of the people want to vent and try to act like they were wronged when in fact their own behavior made them have a bad experience. Keep in mind any place that serves alcohol has to deal with these types of people. If you want a good meal and nice service then stop in. We welcome all people to our Bar! I love that some people call me rude because I don't have time to sit around and kiss their feet. You really can't describe how much you feel at home at 5 West, regardless if it's your 1st or 15th time there. The staff & owners treat you like you're a regular to them and couldn't make you feel more welcome. Lots of fun specials on the board to try and a great regular menu. Way above "bar food". The Chef takes as much pride in his food as the owners do in their establishment and they definitely set an extremely high bar (no pun intended) for every casual dinning/drink place in the area. You walk in, sit down, and feel at home immediately. Very kid friendly UNLESS otherwise specified such as "adult trivia" nights but even then they let you know what time adult hour starts and it's still not uncomfortable to be there if you're not a fan of rude...

Thanks Leslie for great service. The food was excellent. The online menu does not do the bar justice. The specials board has great options. Jambalaya. Catfish. Tasted great.
