The Irish Legend — Restaurant in Palos Township

When we got there we wondered why nobody was there enjoying the outside dining on such a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon. By the time we left, we knew. Service was almost non-existent. Food? Well, I commented to the waitress that the bone on my plate was the smallest chicken bone I'd ever seen and couldn't imagine how it could qualify as a "wing". She looked at it, chuckled and agreed (but did nothing about it)! At over a buck a wing they ought to have at least a little meat on them.

Then, there's the smoking. The guy at the next table was enjoying his cigar - I wasn't.

Umbrella's. Like everything else here, barely large enough, maybe. Sun had no problem working its way around those puny things.

Atmosphere. Might have been OK had it not been for the weirdo sitting on the window sill (yes, that's what I said!) of the second floor shouting to some other idiot on the deck, on and on and on . . . . . If the guys in the white coats haul away a few of the residents, the atmosphere 'may' be OK.

The way I've got it figured - either the guy that owns this joint inherited it and doesn't need the money, or he's SO opposed to paying income tax he's decided not to participate. I was driving by and the place looked pretty tempting from the outside. I decided to stop by and it was a very good decision!! What a great, busy, and festive atmosphere inside!!! My day goes well today but if I would be down the vibe of this place would bring my spirit up for sure! While being very busy, I moved to the back / less busy area to do a few phone calls. Despite being invisible from the “main stage of the place” I was immediately approached by an amazing and very polite cute young lady Jordyn who was patiently listening to my vegan preferences and immediately suggested a vegan solution for me!!! JUST WOW!! She said they are going to prepare a vegetable vegan wrap for me!!! So Awesome!!! I told Jordyn I’m going to take the half home (without even asking she immediately brought a box for me)… the wrap turned out to be so delicious (spiced with hot siracha on the side) that I devoured it ALL in an instant… so will return the box! She was coming to ask how I’m doing multiple times… I didn’t have such a great service for a decent quite a while! Really cool place. My kids and I enjoy any and everything paranormal, and when we heard about this place we decided to take a trip. The bartender was awesome, telling us some stories of her paranormal experiences, and gave us some history of the place. Then some patrons were at the bar and one came over and told us some more. Very nice people. Ordered the Calamari, Chicken Tacos, Legend burger, and Mushroom Swiss burger. All Amazing, my daughter who is the pickiest eater of them all loved the chicken tacos. Burgers were prepared perfectly and were absolutely amazing. Calamari was also very good, just wish the portion was bigger for the price (photo attached is after we started eating some). I’m not a big beer drinker but I ordered the Maplewood Krispie Cakes on tap, and I might come back just for the beer alone. All in all, amazing experience, wonderful service, and we will be back for the ghost tours around...
