PITA Mediterranean Street Food - Panama City — Restaurant in Panama City

I don't care what any of the reviews say, those are sell out reviews. The grand opening of this place was 2 days ago and all these reviews are over a week old. Zero credibility there. We got dinner today and ordered Shawarma and Sujuk and man.. disappointed. The food they show on the screens inside the store looks divine but the reality of what you get is mid-tier at best. Fries are tasty, but soggy and fast-food quality. The Sujuk meat was very good, I must admit, but the Shawarma is basically tacobell meat. I got the Steak Shawarma wrap and boy was it a disappointment. Publix has better hummus, and larger and cheaper. The pita bread is abysmal. Takeout for two is nearly $40 without drinks, sides or desserts. The portions are horrendous. We ate our food and were still hungry by the time we ate everything in our plate. Poor value, poor execution, quality is somewhat decent. Not worth it. I have yet to try their Gyro, which I am looking forward to, but they are off to a bad start. Hopefully next time will be a better experience, but for now, my review stands. Mediterranean food in general suffers from lack of mainstream popularity and this is not helping its case. Was a little nervous at first, I always am when trying a new place and they did not disappoint! Food was delicious and beautifully prepared it looked like it should be on an commercial..It was picture perfect great presentation and it tasted even better! The food came out super fast, and service was great! Everyone was so friendly, upbeat and efficient. The atmosphere was welcoming and the dining room was very clean! I had the pleasure of meeting the owner Nole and he was such a humble, down to earth friendly man! He made sure my children and I had anything we needed and we're enjoying our night out. He also gives back to the community and fed hundreds of people free of charge during the government shutdown! Real stand up guy! I will definitely be back and support this business and everything...

Food was fantastic 🤯 Spanakopita was a little soggy due to refrigeration but good flavor. Greek fries EXCELLENT, Beef Gyro SUPERB, Red pepper Hummus GREAT, and both the Baklava & Baklava cheesecake DIVINE. 😋😋🤩😍 Location drawback... not enough space for seating the number of people they have flooding in. Overall, this place has much better food, amazing portion sizes, and item selections than the other Mediterranean restaurants like Taziki's Mediterranean Cafe or Gyro Cafe in Panama City!!!
