Updated*First and last time coming here. Poor/service, overpriced Sysco food. My kids Kraft macaroni and Dino nuggets came out, my wife’s pulled pork came out within a reasonable amount of time. 20 minutes later my steak is still a no show. My family had finished eating and still no food. The 15 year old waiting on us said it is being made. Legend has it the steak is still cooking to this day…almost done…
Update*
Wow. Nothing like a business publicly gaslighting a customer to really seal the deal on never coming back.
Apparently, pointing out that my steak never arrived while my family finished eating counts as spreading “interesting falsehoods.” I must’ve imagined sitting there, plate empty, while my wife and kids wrapped up their overpriced microwaved meals. Maybe the stress of having several small children clouded my fragile little mind. Thanks for the patronizing diagnosis.
But the real star of your reply is the arrogance. Instead of owning the mistake and moving on like professionals, you opted for a smug PR disaster—complete with food snobbery about your “prime steak ends” (in a kids meal?) and a weird flex about $7 mac and cheese like that’s some kind of bargain when the service is MIA and the adult entree never showed up.
No, I didn’t want another steak once it was convenient for you to start cooking it, long after the rest of my family was done eating. Imagine that. A customer not wanting to eat alone while everyone else watches. Outrageous!
Here’s a tip: if you're going to screw up, do it with a little humility. But instead, you chose to dismiss, deflect, and insult the customer—like that was going to make anyone believe the food or service is worth defending.
And just so you don’t accuse me of coming after small-town folks with my big city ways, let me be clear: I’m sure there are some good people working at your restaurant. That said, I’d still recommend grabbing a bite at the supermarket deli or even the Chevron on the corner before I’d ever walk back through your doors.
A special note to the troglodyte running PR for this place—maybe rethink your career path. Go back to stacking hay, Cornpolk. All you had to do was apologize for the mistake and move on like a functioning adult. But based on your knee-jerk defensiveness and your pattern of combative replies to honest reviews, it seems accountability isn’t exactly your strong suit.
Thanks for the memory. You’ve officially been upgraded from "just a bad dinner" to "cautionary tale I’ll...

My experience at Main Street Restaurant in Joseph City, Utah, was a mixed bag. Located in a quaint town with limited dining options, the restaurant holds promise but falls short in crucial aspects, particularly customer service.
Upon arrival, the ambiance seemed cozy, and the menu boasted a variety of dishes. However, the initial warmth faded as we waited for what felt like an eternity to be acknowledged by the staff. Despite the restaurant not being crowded, it took over 25 minutes for a waitress to approach our table. This lack of prompt attention was disappointing and set the tone for the rest of our visit.
Throughout the meal, it was evident that the staff was overwhelmed or inattentive. Despite their frequent passes by our table, they seemed to overlook our needs repeatedly. This disregard for customer satisfaction was disheartening and detracted from the overall dining experience.
In terms of food quality, Main Street Restaurant delivered decent fare. The dishes were adequately prepared, with flavors that satisfied our palates. However, the delay in service overshadowed the enjoyment of the meal, leaving a lingering sense of dissatisfaction.
It's worth noting that the restaurant's potential shines through despite these shortcomings. With some improvements in customer service and attentiveness, Main Street Restaurant could truly excel. Whether it's through additional staff training or better management of resources, addressing these issues would undoubtedly enhance the dining experience for patrons.
In conclusion, Main Street Restaurant in Joseph City, Utah, earns a three-star rating from me. While the food is commendable, the lackluster customer service detracts from the overall experience. I would recommend this establishment with caution, hoping that future visits bring about the necessary improvements for a more satisfying...
Read moreTraveling across rural America and wanting to dine out can be difficult when you are vegetarian, have a shellfish allergy (fried foods can be difficult) and love a good craft beer after a hike. After 4 days of RV cooking and a long hike at Bryce Canyon NP we were ready for someone else to cook. Cowboy's Smokehouse surprised us with their options. Even with our restrictions, my partner and I were able to have a delicious and filling meal! We both opted for the Veggie burger (per a past post a week ago, it's an Impossible patty), a baked potato, and the fresh vegetables (broccolini!). The daft beer menu had about 6 Utah craft beers. He copied me again and we both got the Moab Brewing IPA. Our server was super friendly, kind, and attentive. Since this is the off season, it wasn't super busy so we easily got a table. We were even surprised by the fresh, hot dinner rolls dropped off after our food order was put in. While this may have been our only option on a Tuesday at 7p (besides pizza), I am not sad about it. Definitely recommend, especially if your timing and dietary restrictions are similar to ours. Menu: the menu from the website is most up to date. When you follow the QR code chown on the pictures, it takes you to the website. You'll download the PDF version. The Beers & Wine menu was a little tricky. I kept getting prompted to download an app to view it. I eventually did. Turned out that it was the Wix app, which I already had installed for other businesses. The app didn't have anything for the business. But I could finally download the drink menu pdf. This is more of a silly Wix platform issue than the business's fault. Technology can be...
