Nyamings Jamaican Cuisine is a hidden gem in Decatur, Georgia, bringing authentic Jamaican flavors right to the heart of the community. From the moment you step inside, the warm and inviting atmosphere makes you feel like you're dining with family. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready with recommendations or a quick chat about the dishes.

The food is absolutely delicious and packed with the bold flavors that make Jamaican cuisine so special. I highly recommend trying their jerk chicken—it’s perfectly spiced, tender, and has just the right amount of heat. Their oxtail stew is rich and comforting, with meat that falls off the bone and a gravy so flavorful you'll want to order extra rice to soak it all up! And don’t miss the fried plantains, which are sweet and caramelized to perfection.

What really sets Nyamings apart is their dedication to authenticity. Every dish tastes like it’s made with care, from the carefully seasoned meat to the homemade sauces. Whether you’re craving a hearty curry goat or just want to relax with some refreshing Jamaican soda, you’ll find something here to love.

Overall, Nyamings Jamaican Cuisine is a must-visit if you’re in Decatur and craving a taste of the Caribbean. The food, atmosphere, and service all come together to create a memorable dining experience that I’ll definitely be back for. Highly...

I’m not much of a reviewer but I just had to share. This salmon was amazing I wanted to curse. This place never disappoints. From the food down to the fresh juices and desserts. There was a little wait (not long) because the salmon is made fresh to order but boy was it worth it. I did not expect such a beauty when I got home and opened my plate I had to get a picture, and then when I took a bite I just wanted to faint. The salmon and peppers seasoned to perfection! I did not want this meal to end. I’ve been here a few times now and this is one spot where you get your money’s worth every time and it’s not too many like that here. Service is great, they’re patient and personable and it’s always a vibe walking in. This place is a gem great food for reasonable prices in Atlanta is rare. People get tired of feeling robbed like they’re not getting their money’s worth, but not here. You can taste the love in Nyamings’ food. I don’t know how to post pictures with my reviews, my picture has the salmon, veggies, rice and peas with...

The Jamaican spots I typically order from have been disappointing lately so I decided to look for another place and this one came up. Ordered via UberEats and got a large curry goat, 5 piece jerk wings, red pea soup, Mac and cheese and a patty. Curry goat tasted ok, it was tender but definitely cooked too long because it was dry. I asked for extra gravy but it was hard to tell whether it was on there and I’ll chalk that up to transit time during delivery. The jerk wings were bbq wings and very saucy, which was not what I expected. They do have “grill jerk chicken” listed for $20 so I guess that’s how you get the traditional jerk…not sure why the wings would be called jerk if they aren’t the same. They were $9 and one of the wings was so tiny they should’ve thrown it away (see pic). The mac n cheese was oily and more like shells and cheese, vs the macaroni pie that most Caribbean places have. I just wish ordering from these restaurants wasn’t so...

I recently visited NYAMINGS and had a great experience overall. The atmosphere was really pleasant—everything was clean, and the decor was cute and inviting. The menu offered a lot of options for both food and drinks, with all drinks being bottled. They even had chips available to pair with your meal. The Jamaican patties were excellent, some of the best I've had. Cabbage was amazing. I also tried the curry goat and oxtail. The curry goat was definitely my favorite—it was well-prepared and flavorful. Unfortunately, I found the oxtail disappointing, especially considering the price; I expected better quality for that dish. The portions were generous, which is always nice, but I did notice that the rice and plantains were overcooked. Despite these small issues, I think the restaurant has a lot to offer, and I would still recommend it, especially for the atmosphere and the excellent curry goat. There is a small seating area and no public restrooms.

When I walked into the store, I was immediately greeted with a smile. The vibe of the place was that of a normal, clean Jamaican restaurant. I decided to try their large stew chicken with cabbage and their rice and peas with medium gravy. All of the food in my meal tasted good. The chicken had a nice flavor to it and was very tender, not being underseasoned or overly seasoned. The cabbage tasted pretty plain, but clean (I was hoping for a likle spice), but that didn't break or make the meal. The rice and peas were nice and fluffy, not overly cooked and mushy, they gelled well with the stewed chicken sauce. The plantains were sweet and not too mushy. The serving size was good. Overall, it was a great tasting, good-looking plate. I was in and out in 5 minutes. I'll definitely be going back to try more.
