Tiger of Thailand, is terribly underrated on Yelp. The food is excellent. Over 90 Google reviewers have more accurately judged the quality of the food and testified with their overall rating of 4.8. The food is bright, fresh, fragrant, fantastic, and amazing. An unbelievable find in this friendly little Arkansas town.
The restaurant’s decor is nothing special. A large dining area with tables and chairs scattered across the plain concrete floors. A couple of booths here and there. The bright mustard yellow walls are decorated with a few handmade pictures and art. Scenes, flowers, and animals, reminiscent icons of the Thai culture. Colorful lantern like globes hang from the dark brown ceiling. Some become animated when the air conditioner came on to cool the building.
We selected a little booth by the window. The very soft-spoken owner came to our table, greeted us with menus then stepped back from the table a strange considerable distance. At least eight feet away. A Thai cultural norm to show reverence, humility, and politeness? Or did we look infectious?
I seldom pass up Thai food that has basil; add the word spicy and you can count me in. Spicy Basil with Chicken for me. A plate loaded with slices of red and green peppers, green beans, and thin slices of chicken, all in a spicy savory broth. For my wife, the Chicken Noodle Bowl: ginger, peanut, lemon, and curry. All in a delicious broth with a little bit of heat and a little bit of sweet.
Two exceptionally delicious meals that could challenge any fancy big city restaurant. If you love Thai food do not pass up Tiger...
Read moreOne of the best Thai restaurants I have went to, and I have gone to alot of them. It is simple to order here if you do not have much experience with Thai food and it is incredibly fun to order here if you do. The first time I went here I started talking with the owner about chili oil and they got very excited and immediately rushed into the kitchen to show me their homemade chili oil which was both delicious and very hot. Speaking of heat, this place has incredible utilization of the heat of their food. The heat is not like hot sauce where it is just heat, the heat has flavor, something which is very hard and honorable to achieve. Overall this is one of my favorite restaurants. The tofu is cooked to near perfection and will shatter your preconceived notions of tofu. I'd recommend the spicy noodles or fried rice. They have some of the best seasoned fried rice I have ever tasted, and it is something anyone can appreciate. Easily...

I had the pot stickers and spicy noodles w/ tofu. I wish I remembered to get a picture of them, but they were served fast and were hot. I loved the pot sticker sauce they used. The noodles were awesome, and tofu was great.
Stopped in the Sunday before the eclipse. Weathermen had warned everyone away due to projected storms so I was the only one there. In my opinion the town got robbed on that one as Monday was sunny and beautiful eclipse watching weather.
Anyway, was looking for food and noticed this place had great reviews and thought I'd try it. Turns out it was awesome. I absolutely recommend this place. Even though it's a bit off 40 I'll have to make a point to stop in again my next time going through. If you're coming in from pine street it is easy to miss, but it's right there at the corner of S...
