This USED to be my favorite place to eat sushi. We have been to this restaurant several times, and often order to go, since we live close by. My daughter and I stopped in today to have sushi. Everything was good, like always, until it was time to leave.. The middle aged woman, who is always there at the front desk, brought me the ticket. She left the ticket, and my daughter and I finished up. I left more than a 20% tip on the table. We went up to the front desk to pay, and I gave her $40.00 to pay a $32.00 bill. She provided me the change. I took all of my change and thanked her and started to walk out the door. As I opened the door, she loudly said, "Excuse me, excuse me." I turned around to see if she was talking to me, and she was. I asked her, yes? She said "Tip?" "Or you leave tip on table?" I let her know that I left the tip on the table. I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO INSULTED IN MY LIFE. This has never happened to me before. I will never return to this restaurant again. There were other patrons dining at the time, I was so embarrassed! This has been a favorite spot for my family and I on busy weeknights... In addition, they have our favorite sushi that my daughter and I just love! I am sad, however, I am unwilling to go through such a degrading experience ever again. Goodbye...
Read moreThis is easily one of my favorite restaurants in Bay County. The panang curry I ordered was perfectly seasoned; the smell of the fish sauce and spices radiating off the bowl when they set it down in front of me was almost as enjoyable as the flavor itself. I will warn everyone who isn't used to the level of spice present in Thai food to be careful when selecting how spicy they want the dish to be; maybe start with a 1 or 2. I selected 3 out of 5 and was still wiping away tears and streaming snot by the time I finished my meal.
Additionally, the service was excellent and my appetizer and meal were both delivered to my table within 10 minutes of ordering. The waiter also made sure to regularly top off my drink, which I was very grateful for because it took a lot of Thai iced tea to put out the fire the curry started in my mouth.
I love making my own curry at home but there are certain ingredients that are too expensive or just too hard to find if you're looking for authentic flavor. I haven't found a single Asian market in this area that carries Thai basil or galangal, for instance. If you're like me and regularly crave curry but are having trouble getting the recipe just right at home, Royal Thai may quickly become your new...

We were looking initially for a sushi place that wasn’t overpriced due to being in the super touristy area of PCB, which led us to this hole in the wall right off Tyndall AFB.
Started with Thai tea, Thai coffee, edamame, crispy duck rolls, and Tiger in Tear salad. That SALAD though! The steak was perfectly cooked and the flavor was so refreshing and delicious.
As we went for lunch, there was more of a limited menu, but we got the eel lover roll and the thunder bird roll. As I didn’t disclose that I was allergic to shellfish, and there WAS krab in the eel roll (which wasn’t listed on the menu), I’m not going to hold it against them on my rating. Those at the table who did eat it said it was delicious, as was the thunder bird roll.
Others also got pork fried rice and said it was wonderful, and I also had the chicken pad Thai, which was sweet, chewy noodles, and perfectly cooked chicken.
The star of the show laid in the mango stick rice, which went too fast for me to even think about taking a picture.
Great multi course lunch for four plus leftovers for just under $100,...
