February 27, 2019 Expect Kiosk's with Management Like That I just want to start with I have visited this store many times and the drive thru is always satisfying and also the girl working today(drive thru and front of house ALONE) did an Excellent Job! I visited at around 2:30pm. The drive thru had three cars so I decided I would go in to get my food. When walking in I noticed two employees sitting talking. (not causally, I think these two are managers at this store) I walked up to the counter and the girl who was working said she would be with me in a min. I could tell she was very busy working the drive thru. She asked me to go to the next register because the one I was standing at she was having to use for the drive thru because the one at the drive thru was having trouble and she would ring me up at the next one in a min. About 5 mins later another women walked up and said she would help me. I told her what the other girl said about the register, but she ignored that info and proceeded to start my order on the register the other girl was using for the drive thru. Of course the drive thru girl came back and had to kick her off of the register. We moved to the next register and she couldn't use it. Something about getting someone else to log in so she could use that register. She then walked away once again leaving the first girl alone. I waited a couple more mins thinking that this second girl will come back. I then turned around and looked at the two workers sitting in the dinning area. There was maybe 5 employees sitting across from the managers I saw when walking in. SO POSSIBLY 7 HARDEES EMPLOYEES IN THE DINNING AREA AND I HAVE TO WAIT MORE THAN 10 MINS TO GET WAITED ON!!! I AM THE ONLY CUSTOMER IN THIS STORE! I told the only working employee up front that is was not her fault and left. SERVICE The service was good. The guy at the register looked like he had dealt with a lot today and wanted to be anywhere but there. Coming from being previously employed but only in the fast food industry, but Hardee's in particular, I felt his pain.
FOOD BREAKDOWN Got hash rounds (surprise, you can get those any time 💚), mushroom and swiss burgers, cali double burgers.
The Cali doubles we're perfect... Except the guy making it forgot the cooked onions. Not too big a deal. But I know that one cook (backwards ball cap) forgets something every time I order. Gotta work on that. 7/10
Hash rounds were fresh made. However they came in the box with about 10 french fries that seemed to be about a half hour old. Gotta clear that fry holding well guys. 8/10
Mushroom and swiss burger... Phew... This one was rough. This is a sandwich that keeps me coming back usually. But today? Yikes. Hardee's did you go cheap on me? Bun was dry and tasted cheap. Beef patty looked and tasted cheap. The type of patty with wavy edges, like you buy frozen in a bag from Wal-Mart, that they serve in school cafeterias. Hardly charred. Good cheese but almost no mushroom sauce either, which is the best part.
You know it's bad when you consider making your own at home with a copy cat recipe the next time you crave them. 4/10
HOWEVER... Keep in mind, this visit was at like 8:30 pm, so maybe they were just wanting to be done and close up. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
SUMMARY Hardee's, I love you, but this visit was incredibly unfulfilling. Big letdown on a big favorite burger. Hope they fix this, otherwise I see my visit frequency switching to...

I understand they were rushed due to a sudden influx of customers that occured right after I had arrived in the drive through. (This becomes important later)
Unfortunately there was a vehicle in front of me that appeared to have suddenly lost the ability to have any sort of situational awareness or ability to drive in general.
Therefore the entire line of approx. 10 cars behind them weren't having a good day and probably induced a lot of unneeded stress on the employees.
My only issue is I believe I was shorted a section of one of the breakfast platters.
Granted not a big deal in general, and especially not a big deal considering their current generous discount to badged/uniformed first responders (20 right now instead of 10).
Finally a very kind young lady ran my order out to my truck after I had to move about 20ft out of line to allow a different set of cars to backup behind the aforementioned (world-class) driver. Only to have him inch forward a measly 3 feet (when 50 more in reasonably available).
Either way the staff continued to be kind to me throughout ordering, paying, and waiting for my meals. Thank you Hardee's for employing an excellent group of people at this location. You all...
