Finally got here after living near this location for years and years. We were pleasantly surprised! The Pepper Steak was super tasty and the sauce was very savory. The Beef with Mushrooms and Pea-pods was very fresh and savory too! The Sweet and Sour Chicken was nicely breaded and not heavy on the oil either. And I just love the red sweet & sour sauce with the pineapples peppers and onions in it! For a family of 4 we only bought 3 Small size dishes and it fed all of us perfectly. They also gave us a large size of white rice too! We are looking forward to doing take out again here very soon. And our very grateful for the quality Chinese food! Thanks Gary Woo of West Boca 🙏🏼 6/18/22 Update Just had take out here again! And once again we were very happy with the overall taste and quality! My only complaint is the price as risen quite a lot and to feed 4 adults and 2 kids it cost $75…. So if your looking for a cheaper route, get smaller portions, and skip the apps. Oh and if your a Veggie Lo Main fan you’ll love it here! It’s amazing!! Other then that food is still great here and we still recommend!

Gary Woo Express has been on list to try forever but we only just made the trip. It’s a humble West Boca takeout spot with old-school vibes: red walls, laminated menus, celebrity photos taped to the wall (yes, Adam Sandler), and a couple of tables if you eat in. Not much atmosphere—but that’s not the draw. The food is unapologetically American-Chinese, and it nails that nostalgic New York flavor. We had crispy shrimp balls (deep-fried shrimp paste wrapped in noodles—fantastic), roast pork fried rice (great char siu, wok hei, not greasy), and a standout shrimp with lobster sauce (rich, eggy, loaded with ground pork, not watered down). Portions are huge and prices fair—three dishes plus a soda ran just under $50. They also offer a dim sum section on the menu, which we haven’t tried yet—but based on what we ate, there’s promise. It’s not fancy, curated, or modern—but it’s the kind of takeout Chinese many of us grew up with and can’t seem to find anymore. Eat it there while it’s hot. It’s worth it.

I absolutely do not recommend this place. I ordered chicken with vegetables, and what they served was definitely not chicken. I mentioned it to the manager, and he insisted it was chicken. I know chicken, and this was some kind of paste with a texture similar to chicken, but it was far from the real thing. When I asked for teriyaki sauce, they said they didn’t have any—surprising for a Chinese restaurant. I also ate at the restaurant and was given small, flimsy plastic utensils that were barely 3 inches long, more suited for kids than adults. Overall, a disappointing experience. Avoid this place if you’re looking for real food and a decent dining setup.

I hate to have to leave this review, but this review needs to be told so others don't have it happen to them. We ordered sushi from them (which we have done MANY times before). We have been long time customers here, ordering frequently over the past years. I have also spent quite a bit of money with their business over the years. Tonight, we arrived to pick up our sushi and head home. We got home and realized that the order was wrong. They included 2 items that were not what we ordered. My mom called and let them know the order was wrong and that my dad would be stopping by to pick up the correct items. My dad got there and they had the 2 items ready for him to pick up, but proceeded to tell him that he needed to return the 2 items that they sent which were wrong. My dad told them that he didn't bring them because he was already out, but they insisted. He then proceeded to ask them why they needed them returned and that it was unfair to ask him to drive back home and bring the 2 items back. Not to mention, they cannot serve them to another guest because they already sent them home mistakenly with us. It's SUSHI. I think it's even against the law to serve food that was mistakenly sent home with someone else to another customer, but that is EXACTLY what they were planning to do. The owner decided to argue with my dad and tell him she was going to follow him home to get the food. Keep in mind we have spent hundreds, if not thousands of dollars at their restaurant over the years. I am just so disgusted by their customer service and the fact that they would serve food that they mistakenly sent home with me to someone else. I feel like I should call the health department or something, but this is just a warning to everyone who might eat here. Their sushi tastes good, but just hope they don't get your order wrong or that you have to deal with them on a customer service issue, because clearly they could care less how much money you have spent with them. They are rude and nasty when they make a mistake. It also makes me wonder, if they're that cheap with an order that they screwed up on, what else are they being cheap on. Very disappointed and won't spend another dime here. Hopefully if you choose to eat here your food doesn't get sent home with someone and then returned and...

Our old chinese place sold to american owners and the food was awful so we were forced to look for another place. This brought us to a couple of new places we didn’t really like and then lo and behold, we stumbled upon Gary Woo. Well, let me tell you, I have never enjoyed Chinese food as much as I do at Gary Woo! We ordered Steamed shrimp dumplings which were fresh, tender, and so delicious-the sauce is so good I save it and use it on my other dishes! We got an egg roll and a shrimp spring roll. Hubby enjoyed the egg roll and I loved how crispy and flavorful the spring roll was with actual shrimp! There is an amazing flavor in there I cannot place but wow I will be ordering these every order!!! We also got beef chow fun (my go-to dish for years) which had actual pieces of yummy steak! Other places had dry, sometimes overcooked thin slices but Gary Woo gives perfectly thick medium-to-medium rare juicy steak pieces. The noodles are perfectly soft and the onions Aren’t soggy, they’re nice and crisp and the whole dish is absolutely superb! My husband got the moo shoo pork with (extra) pancakes (his go-to dish). The meat again was actual steak, tender and juicy, the flavors were perfectly seasoned. The pancakes were soft and fresh. The hoisin sauce was delicious (I don’t usually use hoisin but this was so good!!). All in all everything was out of this world delicious-even the fortune cookies were crispy (nothing worse than those soggy ones-you know what I mean-the ones you can bend lol!) all in all, having moved here a year ago, we are sooo thankful that our other place closed or we would never have known what fresh delicious Chinese food awaited us! This will be our forever...

I was so excited to possibly find a hidden gem in Boca by my parents' community. The excitement turned into disappointment. When I arrived, there was a customer looking at the menu and another paying for her food. When the gentleman at the register was done with the customer in front of me, I informed him that I already paid online so I went to grab my food but apparently someone forgot to run it through. The cashier was nice enough to say sorry for the wait. No big deal. On my receipt, it says in big letters NEW CUSTOMER. As a first timer, we ordered for our big family from both the Japanese and Chinese menu. The sushi was mediocre... got the spicy tuna and Mexican roll. The Chinese food was not so great either. Our local Chinese restaurant is way better. I was hoping it would be a place where I would not mind driving 20 mins out just to get their food but was absolutely disappointed. Crab Rangoon and Canton fried rice were delicious. The kids were in between about the plain fried rice. The BBQ pork was not bad, had a nice bbq taste but could use more flavoring. The spicy and original chicken wings were very disappointing. My kids love edamame but did not like it from here because there wasn't enough salt. I like them better without so much salt so it's by preference. Maybe others will have a better experience...
