Locating this place in what seems a quiet neighborhood. If it was not for the signs you could miss it. Pulling up to it, it has a very "part of the neighborhood" feel to it. Almost as if it is the friendly neighbor in the community that always loves to feed people with good food.

Entering the establishment, it is quite small. You are introduced to a dessert display and some selling of what I believe may be the local honey producer.

We had a lady carrying some dishes, zip on by telling us she would be with us in a minute. And in a minute her promise was completed. She greeted us with a soft, kind voice and took us to our table.

The dining area had a very rustic vibe to it. Green walls with stressed paint areas. There were old photos hanging on the walls as well as some old style decorations. Even down to the door knobs, made the place seem almost as if it was the original doorknobs, if not being the original door knobs.

They have two separate menus: one for their lunch items and a second that contained their breakfast/brunch items.

I ordered some coffee to start, as I mulled over the menu. The decision making process was a little difficult as I wanted to try all the items.

The final food decision: the brunch burger. My partner ordered the Texas Migas.

The brunch burger was delicious. The burger, itself, was juicy and a flavorful; cooked to well done (not my decision) it comes with fries that looks like they where freshly cut. A little soggier than I wanted, but the crispiness came when it needed to do so. In addition, the brunch burger comes with an orange marmalade. When I read it on the menu, I was a little skeptical. When I bit into the burger it seems to be the best odd couple. The sweetness of the marmalade and the saltiness of the burger(perfectly seasoned by the way) was just heaven.

From my partner's opinion: her meal was perfect in portion, and great in taste. It was not overwhelming and every item was portioned appropriately.

Towards the end of the meal, we were introduced to the bill. I do not believe it was bad in comparison to the food and service we have received.

The Pine Street Cafe is a spot I will attempt to visit everytime I am in Houston. I recommend this place for all who like a little quiet, because surprisingly for our Saturday morning it was not as crowded as I was expecting.

Until the next review: Pete,...

I’m always super happy to find a hidden gem like this. I had to drop off my truck for tires and stop by the local Harley Davidson dealer so the wife and I decided to make it a brunch date. This place was right in the middle of the two locations and the online reviews had us interested. Honestly, the Bloody Mary had me interested. Too many places call themselves a brunch spot but if you don’t have a proper Bloody Mary, mimosa, or at minimum a sparkling wine then you ain’t a brunch spot. I was floored by this little place. It’s an older house all fixed up to be the nicest little cafe style eatery. The menu is simple but plentiful. Kids could easily find something good here but I had my eyes on the traditional bacon, eggs, toast, and country gravy. My wife had what might be the best eggs Benedict I’ve ever tried. The bacon had a hint of jalapeño and I’m guessing the country fried potatoes were fried up in the same cast iron skillet because they had a hint too. And they were awesome!!! Everything was perfect. I asked for eggs over medium and no one ever does that right. These were perfectly medium. The bacon was crispy! Hand to god, it was fried crispy!! The sausage gravy was some of the best I’ve ever had in a restaurant. I’m from a holler in Kentucky and I learned to make gravy from my grandma so I know gravy. This was made in house. No store bought, pre-made packet of who knows what. Someone spent time perfecting this Appalachian breakfast caviar. The service was outstanding. The perfect amount of “I’m gonna take care of you” but also, “I’m going to let you eat in peace”. And this whole experience was in this perfect location that has the ability to host large events as well as tiny house country B&B’s on the same property. I cannot recommend this place enough. We will be...

just left here and all i can say is wow so yummy!! i dont feel gross after eating which is an amazing sign. super cute area for many photo opportunities. its literally a red dead redemption saloon sorta deal in the back🤫inside is so comfy and homey feeling!! amazing portions!! i got the brunch burger, i did not put it down once. so flavorful yet sweet and fresh and just awesome. my mom got the sycamore 2’s, she has been on a diet due to being diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver type 4. she stays away from any meat for her good and by choice she consumes gluten free products and chicken/turkey meats. she subbed the pancake for a french toast and she said it was perfect not too sweet not too soggy at all. i get my dogs groomed nearby here so i will def come here in the meantime while they get their spa treatment 😂 i also got grapefruit juice in which i thought it was tasty!! taking home a coconut pie which i am very excited about😊10/10 would come again 😁also met a friendly cat outside which is your choice to interact with it but you only live once so of course i...
