I went here tonight at 8pm through the drive thru to order a slab of ribs. Was told they have to make ribs and will take 30 min. I said that I can wait. She then said, well you have to do online or curbside. I asked what’s the difference?
She, now that I’m talking about it, came up with another excuse. I stated….ok. She tells me to call the number on the curbside to place an order.
I get out of the drive thru. Drive by the curbside to call to place an order, the girl that answered, stated, hold on…put me on hold. Came back to take my order. She asked information and order.
I stated, ribs…. She then asked out loud about the ribs, comes back and say that we have to cook a batch. I stated, ok. She took my order and I asked, HOW LONG WILL IT BE? She says oh 15 minutes. I said, ok. Now, I’m calm all through this and noticed that no one wanted to serve me and understand that it is an hour before they close at 9pm. It’s 8:09pm now.
After 15 min, I drive to the curbside and noticed the young lady come out to help others. She comes to my truck to ask me questions. She came back 5 times with excuses about why I can’t get these ribs. You know how you crave something? No is not the right answer right now!
Last time she came out, she stated we don’t have baby back, we have beef or pork. I said, oh well that’s fine, I’ll take beef. Ok, we putting in a fresh batch and you will get the first ones come out fresh and hot…..I said ok! Thanks, still calm☺️
I knew this was a game if they don’t want to do it and they close at 9pm, I get it! I’m hungry and want to go home too….
It’s 10 minutes till 9pm now, I paid and still waiting for an hour……..comes out with another excuse and how they will give me my money back and give me a meal free tonight! I said ok, great……I watched people come though the drive thru and curbside get their food while I had to wait an hour……..and 30 minutes now!
Btw……these fresh ribs that she promised was cold and not even fresh……why?
Lately when I go to Pasadena, it’s been difficult. I work in Pasadena, Laporte, all over…….worst service ever!!!!
Just tell people your out of ribs, why do that and you see others drive thru like normal…….done
Look at the grease on the container? Now if this isn’t right? What did I do to...
Read moreWent to this location, with my family tonight 4/29/22 and they totally ruined,my family evening out.We don't get to spend alot of time together. Because my wife and I work long hours and we had a rare opportunity. To take our young daughters out and we chose Papa's BBQ in Pasadena and then,we were going to see a movie, next door.We ordered 3 burger baskets and from then on,it was back and fourth,5 diffrent times because they, messed up our order. The last time, they "tried" to remake it again, for the 5th time. Some how the actual meat, came out cold.I addressed this with the manger Marisa and Oscar.Marisa agreed the burger meat was cold but told me it just came off the grill. How does a burger, that just came off the grill,is still cold to the touch? She had no answer for me lol at this point. My wife and I were no longer in the mood to eat.Mind you two other people, was standing at the counter. With the same complaints about their burgers. My family was so upset, with the whole experience. We did not even go see our movie.Everbody just had bubble guts, from the whole thing.I don't know if,Marisa or Oscar the "Managers" even care. But y'all ruined my family whole night,I hope you improve, your customer experience and train your staff,to actively listen,to a customer's order so this does not happen,to another family. Just trying to go out and spend time with each other, only for it to be ruined,by incompetence.I have been to many Papa's BBQ locations in Houston and never had a problem.I think the Pasadena location, has lost sight that, the Papa's BBQ brand is more then serving food but also incorporating an environment, where family's and all types of customers feel welcomed and heard.None of that happen for my family tonight. Please do better you had 5 diffrent chances tonight and never got 1 right. Instead of a good time,my family left with a bitter taste in their mouth and a abrupt end to what, was supposed to be an enjoyable night, with my family.I had to choose,at least 1 star to write this post but 0 stars for...
Read moreBack in the day it was called the Brisket House, and it was amazing! Famous for their brisket, and the big kahuna, a massive Idaho spud loaded with a glop of butter and piled high with chopped brisket that you then took to the "fixins" bar to add cheese, sour cream, and other toppings, and to grab your pickles, onions, and peppers. Not on any diet ever invented, it was the ultimate cheat meal. I was concerned when the name changed, and as more stores opened, the food quality did suffer, most notably with the desserts and the potatoes, well, they shrunk (but the price didn't). Still I went as often as I could b/c the flavor stayed great. I was excited to find a location just down the street from my hotel after being gone for 5 years. Unfortunately, the weather was terrible, so I was unable to dine in, but got it to go. Back in my room, the first thing I noticed as I unbagged my food was no onions, pickles, and peppers, which I specifically requested. Next, no bbq sauce, and finally, NO BBQ!!! I called and spoke with a manager, who was super apologetic, offered to remake the order so my potato wouldn't get cold AND throw in a free dessert... still in contention for 4 stars at this point. Upon arrival, I called back in as instructed. I spoke with a different manager, who made me re-explain everything and only offered to replace the beef (which may have been the better idea in hindsight), plus the dessert, but in the meantime, the young lady that originally brought out my order came out to confirm the remake. Finally back in my hotel, still no pickles, onions, peppers, AND ONLY 2 TBSP OF MEAT!!! If anything, you'd think there'd have been extra. 1 star for the first manager I spoke to, and 1 for the good sides and decent pecan pie. Can't tell if the beef was good - there honestly wasn't enough to...
