Shipley Do-Nuts — Restaurant in Pasadena

My food was okay the food is not the issue...it was the customer service. At least act like the customers matter! It's one thing to get my order wrong... And it's another thing to have a nonchalant attitude about it especially if I'm being cordial about it. And we were talking about a matter of it being large versus medium....the drink was totally wrong. I ask for a large half Hot Chocolate /half coffee. If that is not possible, say so prior to having me pull up. (The odenton location is ALWAYS on point) The young lady that made the mistake....was on her phone vs resolving the error. The young man was defensive " I didn't make it!" Honestly it was a mistake and I was willing to pay the difference. I understand they are young...but this is your business... quality service Trump's quality of food. No apology was given, nor was there an offer to make it right. If the hot chocolate was out, make an attempt to look for a refill.... Don't allow the customer to leave dissatisfied. Should they loose their jobs, absolutely not! However they need coaching on supervisor customer service and customer engagement. Consider the concept of "Think like an owner". Today was a missed opportunity for your business to win over a customer. Although, I was disappointed, I will give them another opportunity to demonstrate Superior customer service and customer engagement. No need to yell at them.. just coach them up. What really upset me was when I was handed the medium Drink, I asked, "is this a large". She said "we wrong up a medium would you like a large?". I said no thank you. But she gave this a smirk to her coworker as if she didn't realize she made a mistake on my order. Before I left the parking lot I tasted the drink and it was straight black coffee and not half Chocolate/Coffee as I requested. Looking at the reviews there seems to be issues of focus when assisting customers. ...

Place is just built, they have nice staff. But the donut is just a basic donut. It doesnt have any taste other then the chocolate covering it. It was really shady practice to place a donut shop next to a already donut shop. Arundel donuts are so much better tasting they just dont open all day long.

but to come to town with a product that is worse then the donut shop is expected but not this worse. the donut could be purchased at the grocery store near by. AND STILL Taste better.

The breakfast food was better then the donut. its just a shame that they made shipleys do-nuts .. and they cant even make a proper donut. Like i said expensive when the grocery store has better donuts.

What a way for rich people to capitalize on flour. Your recipes are not special.. Go do arundel donuts just wake up early.

Brian Roberts the donut was dried not too dry but you saying that it wasnt dry made me edit this and comment how i believed this donut compared to arundel donuts is dry.. DO i have to make a youtube video comparing the two .. because i will.. THESE FAKE 4-5 star reviews are laughable.

also the stock of boston cream donuts was gone before 11 am. So the " stock" being filled comments are lies. i wonder how many fake 5 star reviews you added to make your business look good. THis donut is dry.

The donuts and kolaches here are amazing. I've been here 3 times and these are the three things that brought it down.

the girl at the cash register looked very unenthusiastic and like she hated life. Not a huge deal and I don't know if they are going through something personal.

We ordered 3 sausage/egg and cheese with jalepenos kolaches and 1 bacon/egg and cheese kolache. Instead we received 4 sausage/egg and cheese kolaches without jalepenos.

Kinda shows they didn't even try to get the order right, considering one of the kolaches ordered was different from the rest and they just gave is 4 of the same, incorrect, kolaches.

On a seperate occasion, the other person in the car wanted a chocolate glazed but they were out. So instead they got a buttermilk cake donut and I got a raspberry filled. they gave those two donuts but we had a third, chocolate frosted donut. We were like "oh that's so nice they gave us a free chocolate frosted donut bc they were out of the chocolate glazed" then we looked at the receipt and they charged us for it when we never even ordered it.

The guy at the drive-through has trouble understanding what it is your ordering sometimes. Where you will have to go over your order again and you can tell he is struggling to understand what it is you are asking for.

The food here is good but the service...
