Fishery & More — Restaurant in Pasadena

Been going here for years. But I've just caught on now, this place has gone totally downhill. Just bought a Whiting dinner to come home and enjoy the game. The fish was old and dark, the batter was hard as a rock, and I advise anyone not to go there if you're used to anything near good fried fish. I will drive 25 miles to South L.A. before ever coming to this farce again and wasting my time and money. They sell old products. And refuse to answer the phone when you attempt to discuss it. This place can use some interior therapy. The fish portions were small, but somewhat tasty and a little overcooked; It seemed like they cut the fillets in half. I ordered the 2 fish/4 chicken combo under the chicken wing section, but when I finally got home to eat I noticed that there were only 2 chicken wings that they cut in half, so you only get 2 wings and not 4. Also, the chicken tasted weird like they had cooked it in old cooking oil or fish oil. The menu is very deceiving. I was not happy. I will not be ordering...

I only write reviews when they are worthy. This place is worthy. I'm a southern girl that loved a good ole simple n fresh fried fish sandwich. A seasoned and crispy cornmeal piece of fish, hot out the grease, on some light bread. Well, this man has brought that here to Southern California and I welcome him and so should each of you. And FOR $3.00 A SANDWICH!!!!!!!!! UNREAL PRICES, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND SCRUMPTIOUSNESS. RUN to see him! I live in South Bay and gladly drive to see...
