No 1 Chinese Kitchen — Restaurant in Paterson

I've been eating here since the 90's. When I moved back to attend college I was surprised and happy to find that the same family owns the restaurant. The customer service remained relatively the same, they still speak with heavy accents, and there's some miscommunication at times with orders. On the other hand, they have learned the spanish names for some of the dishes, so if you speak spanish and want to play it safe try ordering that way first. Aside from it still being "CASH ONLY", the price to food ratio make up for it. The food tastes great, the menu has expanded over the years, delivery can be a bit slow on busy nights, but in my somewhat 25 years of eating from here I can say I have never gotten sick...

My mother knew the old owners. The old owners sold reasonably with good amounts of food, that was when it was actually #1. They need to have the #1 title removed. These new owners changed the prices way too high and at first I didn’t think much about it but the price pissed me off when I saw how LITTLE food I received. This isn’t the first negative experience I’ve had with this restaurant. Back a while ago I stopped eating chicken wings when as a picky person the chicken wings from here were the only ones I’d eat. This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. I called and asked for beef dumplings and the manager tells me they don't have beef and that we are crazy and hangs up on us. I call back again and say that's fine we will take pork and she tells me to hurry up. We tell her our address and she says she cannot deliver to us and instead of letting me say I will come pick it up then she hangs up on me again. This is the worst customer service I have ever seen and I work in customer service. If I could I would give them a 0 rating. Never going...
