Tony's Pizza — Restaurant in Paterson

I call and I ask for the prices of the pizza the lady that pick up the phone told me the small 9 dollars and the medium 12 dollars ok so I proceed to order a medium pizza half cheese and half cheesesteak ok she never told me that the price was different.

When I arrive to the store I also order two bottle of juice since my pizza was 12 dollars ok my thoughts were with 20 dollars I can cover everything, so I when to the register and I ask for my pizza the manager already knew about the pizza but he didn’t know the price of the pizza which it’s weird cause you are the owner the he started to be back and for with another lady asking her for the price she said 17 ok the proced to process the payment and ones again the lady comes and tell him o no way it’s 19 which 19 it’s the whole price of the cheesesteak pizza and it doesn’t makes sense to me so I ask them again why they are charging me for a whole cheesesteak pizza when they are giving me half and every pizza comes with cheese, so the owner proceed to say o it’s because it’s the same and I proceed ask for the price of the cheese pizza and they said 12 dollars Broo at that point I was so mad that a left. I felt i was charge double tax.the price of pie was $9 they charge me $9.70 ,fries $3 they charge me $3,25 a bottle of Coke 24oz 2$2.50 they charge me $2 60 then at the end they charge me $1.86 in tax. I asked for a receipt from the beginning, and the cashier was hesitant until the owner told her to prepare me a detailed receipt, that showed one proce and charged me another. Price. Was not satisfied. Double taxed.

After the eview above about a month ago, i returned to Tony's pizzeria. Because, their food , service, atmosphere, variety of choices from American foods to Spanish food is so exciting because the prices are down to earth... Anyways the reason im commenting today 4-28-23 Friday is because one of the employees approached me, and asked if I've had written that review, I replied yes. Then he took the time to explain to me that I was not double taxed . Those extra charges that was added to each item was fees incurred when paying with Debit or Credit card. Immediately I realized that i was not double tax and I apologize. I told him that I will give a new review...

I tried this family run establishment for the first time this Sunday October 16th 2022. I ordered a Medium white pizza with broccoli - 8 slices. Pizza was done in about 15-20 minutes and I must say it was absolutely delicious. I called Tony and told him that the pizza was excellent 👍 and from now on when I want pizza I will be coming to his establishment. If the white pizza was that good, I can only Imagine what a Pepperoni and or sausage pizza would taste like. If you're in the neighborhood and you're looking for some good pizza, pay Tony's Pizza a visit. Prices are still reasonable!! I am not related... Just really...
