My family and I happened to be traveling through this area and decided to stop here for dinner. We hesitated to go in because we didn't see anyone else in there except for one person picking up an order. That right there is a bad sign, but we were hungry and didn't want to look further so we went in. We placed our order and then went to use the restroom. I was in one stall and there was another person in the other. They came out and quickly left. It did not sound like they used the sink to wash their hands, unless they did at lightning speed before exiting. One of my family members saw that person come out and go into the kitchen. I can only hope they washed their hands back there before touching or preparing any food.
We ordered the enchilada plate, asada fries, and a quesabirria taco. The meat on the fries had a good flavor to them. Very tender too. But the cheese? That was obviously jarred nacho sauce. No fresh shredded cheese was used at all. The enchiladas were pretty mediocre. The cheese they used was incredibly bland, tough, and chewy once the food started to cool down. It honestly tasted rubbery. The sauce was not very good either, again very bland. The rice that came with it once again, big surprise, bland. I never add salt to any foods, but I found myself having to salt the rice several times because it was so tasteless. The refried beans that came with it however were pretty tasty. They had a very good flavor. When we tried the quesabirria taco, it was incredibly hot! I appreciate it that because there's nothing worse than getting served cold bland food at a restaurant. The meat was tender and tasted alright but I've had others where the meat was incredibly flavorful, this was not. I was asked if I wanted connsomé with it and i said yes. If you look at the picture, you can see a tiny little portion cup with some kind of sauce in it. It absolutely was not connsomé. For one thing, it was ice cold, like they had just taken it out of the fridge. And secondly, it was a spicy almost like a salsa type thing. And third, does it appear like something you could dip your taco into as you would with any other quesabirria taco? Definitely not. We were charged $33 for this and honestly, it was not worth it at all. Maybe we just went on a bad night, who knows? But no, if we are ever in this area again, we will not...
Read moreI went there looking to order a Mexican salad it’s a craving I just randomly had. I called ahead and asked if they sold I even described it over the phone and well and behold I get there and it’s not what I had described and told her. I get it misunderstanding fine. So I say since it’s not what I asked for and it was misunderstood can I just order something else because I don’t want that. No. Her and the manager or owner who ever with glasses were trying to force me to pay for the salad too. They kept telling me I ordered I needed to take it and eat it. What kind of bs is that. Now I remember why I don’t come here they are rude and...
