First time service was bad. 7/27/25 bad enough where I took off stars. No openings for a single person to sit so I'm offered the bar. Ok, can deal. Served chips and salsa quickly, took a few minutes for my drink order to be taken, then given a menu, then several minutes later order taken that was divided up into eat there and take home. Tacos brought quickly. After that I felt like I was kind of forgotten. No one checked in, no one offered a tea filler. I ate my tacos and waited for the rest of my order. About 15 minutes passed, I finished my tacos, no one checked on me so I got up went to the register to pay and requested the rest of my food to go. Had to ask twice for a tea refill, asked about my food to go again about ten minutes later it was finally brought to me. I leave this establishment a tip when I go in because usually they're very attentive whether I'm on my own or with family - but this time it was weird. I felt invisible. Food was ok this time not great. Sure their tables were full, three servers, two to three cooks but I've seen the place busier than today and service was much better and so was the food. Not one miss! Atmosphere felt like home. Service perfect. Food muy bueno! Growing up in Tucson and traveling frequently to the Baja might have made me bias to Sonoran style and this place has it! Never could find decent true Mexican food in phoenix az but here I am in Idaho and BAM! El Kamaron in Payette, Idaho is supreme! I don’t give 5 stars often but everything fit the bill. Please make this your one and only Mexican food stop! And the FLAN!!!

Our family had dinner here last weekend. A party of 5 adults and a four year old. Everyone of us had different orders! The food reminded me of my Mom’s cooking. She’s been gone now 8 years and what a beautiful memory to experience. We are going to be coming to this place repeatedly! The atmosphere was friendly. Our waitress Olga made our first experience welcoming. I highly recommend to everyone to come and try this place. You’ll be happy you did. I’m so happy my grandson found this place as we we’re going to another and I’m pleased now that Ali’s was closed!!!

First time in and service was terrible, very disorganized. Took 15 minutes to get drink order taken, and 30 minutes to have food order taken. People came in after us had drinks fast.. took hour and half to get food, and when we got it it was bland, tasteless and almost cold. I had taquitos husband had Carne. I get they had to go orders but with only 10 tables and 8 bar stools 3 waiters should be able to get things done better. Sorry we wasted out time and money here.

Our first visit... the atmosphere was nice. The place was clean. The server was somewhat attentive. There were 4 in our dining party. Drinks were never refreshed through the entire visit. The cheese enchiladas were filled with asada.. instead of cheese. When shown to staff they corrected with cheese. It was a rolled tortilla with strong cheese not sauce. Two other dining ordered asada tacos.. ended up with a slab of meat that that was to be cut at the table to fill tacos.. after cutting meat left was able to make one taco rest of meat was gristle and fat. Low quality meat. Did not like the idea that we were having to prepare the meat to put on the shell.. something that could have easily been done in the kitchen. Not one vote of returning to this establishment from any of the 4 in our dining party. Yuck food yuck service....

Doesn't look like much from the outside but don't let looks deceive you. This is a hidden gem. My wife and I ate there a couple nights ago and the food was outstanding! Took a bit to get it after we ordered but was well worth the wait! She had fajitas and I had camerones ala diabla. Outstanding home made authentic Mexican food. This place is a must try....you won't be disappointed!

Update 6/25/2022,

My wife and I have been back several times. This is our new favorite place to eat. They have outstanding food and word has gotten around so the service can be a little slow but ....the wait is well worth it. Usually have shrimp fajitas which are outstanding, but decided to try al pastor tacos. Oh my! Bites of savory Mexican heaven! I can't wait to go back and try...
