I just love those good ol’ local ‘Maw & Paw’ joints in tiny towns. “It just don’t get any better than this!” 🍽️🐓🥚🍳🥓🥔🍞🧈 #eat #local #smalltown #cafe #restaurant

Meanwhile we waiting for a certain time to head to school we stopped for a breakfast. The outside may have you double think it but the service and food it’s another opinion. The food was veryyyy tasty it had flavor nothing was bad nor fake food it was fresh and the cost was two thumbs up. I grabbed the French toast and eggs my daughter kids plate she got a pancake with sausage and it also comes with eggs and the pancake was sooo huge not your ideal kids size which was amazing. My husband grabbed the breakfast with hasbrown bacon eggs and biscuits and gravy on the side with sausage patties the amount they give you it’s heaven thank goodness and the taste was perfect and warm I ordered a brew coffee and it was fresh my husband got orange juice on time very good and daughter chocolate milk which the chocolate was able to enjoy. Yes I know the outlook isn’t pleasant in or out but it’s historial as well. Service was great and price was great.

Now this is what I expect in a small Ozark town, a small local diner serving some home style cooking in a friendly family atmosphere. Cannonball gets more things right than wrong and I can see us making the trip over on a semi-regular basis. Most of the items were indeed made in-house, which should be the norm for any restaurant especially those claiming country style or home cooking, unfortunately it’s getting harder to find. The chicken fried steak and roast beef definitely take you back to Sunday supper at grandmas house, however my grandma was an incredible cook so tough to compare. A better comparison would be to say that this is what Cracker Barrel try’s to copy. If you live in Pea Ridge I can’t imagine why you’d go to the chain fast food places with them here. If you live close by it’s worth the short drive to have a little country supper get away.

Typically when you walk into a place, you're greeted. Our welcome in for the first time was colder than an ex wife. No hello, no what can I get for you, nothing.

An older woman snapping at the waitress was our background noise. This is the same woman who after about 7 minutes, slapped a menu and silverware in front of us and walked away. Another 10 min and another woman comes to take our order. Its a tiny place and there's already 3 tables sitting there, no one with food.

We had to keep asking for a refill on our drinks, since the wait for our food was about 30 min since we ordered, only to be told to wait a minute. One of tables finally gets their food, but the order is incomplete and all comes out at different times, leaving half the table waiting for food and the other half's food getting cold, waiting for everyone to have their food.

Another table then gets half their food about 10 minutes later. Then I get my food, only for my husband and the other half of the table next to us still waiting.

Our waitress tells us that a new cook is being trained and for some reason, the head cook wasn't running the kitchen so everything is disorganized and incomplete. When I say it's a tiny place, imagine an old 1 bedroom house, complete with metal roof and a 4 step walk into the kitchen. Absolutely no communication going on in this 100 sq ft space between dining room and kitchen.

A gentleman had walked in during all this, sat down and drank his coffee and seeing and hearing how the kitchen was not being ran effectively tells the waitress he's done waiting. Can't blame the guy.

My husband finally gets his order and guess what- its wrong. The waitress tells him she entered the order wrong. At this point out patience with this place is gone. We eat our food, because despite the horrible customer service and efficiency, the food was actually good, even if it wasn't what was ordered....once we finally got the food.

Still having to ask for refills, something that should be simple service. In such a tiny place, I am confused as to how this place is so out of sorts. What appears to be a cute little food joint reveals itself as a poorly ran restaurant, with serious communication and efficiency issues. I'm not sure who was supposed to be running the place, but whoever it was wasn't there or didn't care.

Small town feel? Yes, if you mean space. No if you mean common courtesy and hospitable. The food may have been good, but definitely not worth the appalling service. Will not be returning unless they get solid employees and treat the shack...

I stopped in here for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Waitress was polite - she may or may not have been the owner. My food was excellent. Did it take a while to get it? Not an unusual amount of time considering the food was cooked fresh. After reading some of the reviews, I was a little worried but I’m glad I did not let your opinion keep me from at least trying. Several reviews complaining About the price. They are a lot less expensive than a lot of other places Several reviews complaining about the time it took for their food, The food was cooked, so it was not hanging around in the kitchen Just waiting on me to order Someone said they were given bacon that was past the use by date. This was a huge Red flag to me while reading the reviews. How would he know if it was past the year use by date if he was not in the kitchen? If he was so sure it was used by date didn’t he say something then and there? Please don’t let The keep you from At least trying the restaurant one time. I...
