Champions Pub — Restaurant in Peabody

I’ve lived in Mass most of my life! And my stopping ground has been this place more times than I can count, especially when taking my mom there to eat.

Today… very disappointed!!

My mom has not been doing well. Thought I was going to lose her a week and a half ago… but somehow she pulled through 🙏

She and I would always go to champions have a burger and a salad so when my daughter, my son myself picked up my mom today at Asst. living to take her to champions which she used to love going to. It was a big disappointment today to say the least, put our order in didn’t come out how we ordered it her favorite drink that she likes to drink. They didn’t have it today who doesn’t have ranch dressing when you order chicken wings, buffalo mind you who serves you a salad with wilted, lettuce, and spoiled cucumbers I’m gonna make a long story short, ha ha!!

The server sucked, never checked on us didn’t listen to any of our needs. I had to look over the check that I was told from the cook that they were not going to charge us for the burger or the salad which was on the check I literally said what is going on with this place, I’ve always supported champions and I’m very disappointed today. My son and my daughter got their food and my mom and myself had to sit and wait again after the burger that we ordered was supposed to be medium and they put cheese on it when we didn’t want cheese, they scraped the cheese and cooked the burger and then it was well done, very disappointed in champions and not to put this out there, but I will never be back there again by the time I got back to her assistant living she was not doing well thank you champions for me trying to make my mom’s day a good day and you ruined that!

And to top it all off, I wouldn’t left the server a tip my daughter did she’s got a better heart than me !

I drove from NH… and asked her if she’d like to go to champions like old times? And she said yes! Never again!! And the sad part about it all is it wasn’t even busy in there!

The only good thing that I’m going to say is the cook did come out and apologized which I’m surprised he’s still even there after 35 years and I had to even talk to another server that wasn’t ours. I could understand that place wasn’t even packed today,so needless to say, I am not happy at all by the time I got my mom back to her place had a hook her up with nebulizer treatment...

I could just say my review and experience is and was the same as everyone else's but I feel like spelling it out... So after multiple attempts at takeout that failed, everything from not answering the phone to totally wrong orders, I figured ok let's go sit down and eat. Wow was that a mistake! Sat for a good ten minutes before any staff came to us. At this point our drink and food orders were taken and the waitress left. Oh did I mention still no place setting or silverware? Drinks come and there we have mistake number one only to be followed by salad not brought out and still no silverware. Food comes that the tips were way undercooked but I didn't have years of life left to get that fixed so I moved on. Waitress I think in passing by may have asked how we were doing but not sure I can't remember. Never knew her name either, am I making my point that she could have cared less about this table? Bill comes and we ask for containers to put the leftovers in. Then we ask for a plastic bag to put the two containers in and after waiting forever decided to ask a different waitress standing there for a bag. I have never gotten such a nasty look or attitude cause I asked for a plastic bag. It was so bad I asked her if nobody has ever asked for that before? She proceeded to be ruder than ever and said have a good night in a nice way of saying go !?$#@ myself. Worst experience ever will never go back. I'll cook the steak myself for half the money and not have to deal with a poorly trained wait staff that is super rude on top of it. Wish I never left a tip cause that just annoyed me even more when I thought about it. Maybe the owners or manager or someone should care just a tad more according to the reviews on Facebook my experience is had by just about everyone. Steak and lobster at...

the worst service in #massachusetts they're supposed to have the best steak tips around. Unfortunately their service was so bad my family and I that drove over 45 minutes to get out there didn't even get a chance to taste them. from the moment we walked in we weren't greeted. We had to seat ourselves. We ordered our drinks and a mac & cheese bite as an appetizer and waited. 30 minutes until I had to stop one of the servers to ask if we could put our order in I was immediately given an attitude that she tried to cover up with the fake smile and high pitch in her voice after ordering we then sat for over an hour mind you I only ordered a steak Tip sub medium and a BLT that's it after the hour went by of being ignored and watching people that walked in after me, get their food I stood up and noticed that the three parties that came in after us had already had their steak tips in front of them and and decided to go ahead and leave a $20 bill on the table for the gross kraft macaroni and cheese bites that they gave us and the three sprites that were flat. This place is a joke.
