I attend Peabody Veterans Memorial High School. As a member of many extracurricular activities I have gone to Londi's and unspeakable amount of times for after school dinners and such. After about 3 years of attending this establishment, as well as attending many other roast beef establishments in the area, Londi's is a fairly decent establishment. Firstly, its portions are MASSIVE. Every time I bite into their super beef, the beef falls off of the sandwhich because there's just so dang much of it. The beef is always pink, and tastes amazing with a 3 way, although they put the cheese on the top bun instead of the bottom bun, (which is downright blasphemous) Into more serious issues with the establishment, wait times are a serious issue. 10-15 minutes for fries isn't ideal for any customer, especially when you only have a certain amount of time for a dinner break. Their pizza isn't spectacular, and I always find myself wiping off the excessive amount of grease they always lather their pizza in. Back on the portions, almost everything on the menu feeds two people. DO NOT BUY FRIES OR WINGS FROM LONDI'S UNLESS YOU INTEND TO SHARE THEM WITH ANOTHER PERSON. You're almost always going to end up with excess food that you're just going to throw away when you get home. Despite these drawbacks, their roast beef is spectacular, perhaps one of the best in Peabody. I love this place, and stand by it. If you're looking for a blow-your-socks-off beef place in Peabody, Londi's is your go...

If you're in the Boston area and want to experience the legendary North Shore roast beef for the first time, Londi's is absolutely where you need to start. As someone who discovered this incredible local tradition just a couple of months ago, I've now sampled nearly 20 different spots across the region, and Londi's consistently stands out as the gold standard. What makes Londi's my #1 recommendation? It's the perfect combination of quality, cleanliness, and execution. While the North Shore has many excellent roast beef joints, Londi's takes cleanliness to another level without sacrificing any of the authentic character that makes these places special. The sandwich itself is perfection:

Roast Beef: 10/10 - Tender, flavorful, and sliced to perfection Bun: 10/10 - Fresh, soft, and holds everything together beautifully Ratio: 10/10 - The perfect balance of BBQ sauce, mayo, and cheese that defines the North Shore style

Whether you're a first-timer looking to understand what all the fuss is about or a seasoned local wanting a consistently excellent sandwich, Londi's delivers every time. It's become my go-to spot for both introducing friends to North Shore roast beef and satisfying my own cravings. This isn't just a sandwich shop - it's a gateway to understanding one of New England's most beloved culinary traditions....

I've been a loyal Londi's customer for almost a decade, and I always enjoyed their generous portion sizes and flavorful food. Owners changed, the old location closed, they still have the same great formula going.

Today I stopped in to order a super roast beef, and a chicken finger dinner plate. Unfortunately the gentleman taking my order said, "the roast beef can only be prepared rare or well done, it's not a steak", when I asked him for it to be prepared medium well.

Which is new to me, I've been ordering my roast beef like this for as long as I can remember, even at this and the Salem Londi's "Roast Beef" location. It may be picky or uncommon even, but pretty much any roast beef/sub shop in MA would know what a roast beef medium well is.

It's not a big deal, I am a passive person, but I would have enjoyed my $8 roast beef a bit more, if it was prepared the way I usually ask for it and the down talking with its tone and all, kind of put me in a bad mood, negativity rubs off.

Overall, dry beef and all, the food was good and it was still warm after my 20 minute drive home, I probably won't be back for a while since I don't live/work around Peabody anymore. If you're in the area, there is no better sub, pizza, roast beef, etc...

Went today for the first time. Been waiting patiently and it was worth the wait. Took the whole family there. Of course I got a Jr. beef on an onion roll 3 way! OMG it was amazing. What a murder scene. The bun was fluffy buttery and crispy in every bite. Must’ve used all their napkins. Got the toddles twins a side of chicken fingers (wish they had kids meals) they like them a lot. Piping hot when they came out. String fries were perfectly done. Crispy in the outside and fluffy on the inside. Not greasy at all. You can tell it was fresh clean oil they used. Hubby got the large meatball sub. He wasn’t too impressed with it though. He said it was average. I got a pizza roll as well. It was very thin not much flavor. Didn’t take a picture of it. Their baklava was on point. Crispy and perfectly sweet. The flavor was amazing. Best I’ve ever had.

Had high hopes for this joint but left feeling massively meh. Beef was wrapped up despite eating in house. Not ideal. Wayyyy too much jimmy and Mayo for my liking. Really drowns out the flavor of the beef. While the beef was perfectly pink, it was stone cold. On a positive note, the beef to bun ratio was insanely good for a junior. For what it’s worth, the fries were massively over cooked. Almost like potato sticks. It’s rather expensive, right around $18 for a junior and their smallest fry. I hear the North Andover spot is significantly better. Next time.
