Had gone to this location a couple times and was always greeted by friendly staff. Went in this morning and there was a guy working the register taking orders, possibly the owner....had some flashy wrist watch on. He takes the order in front of me and my wife and then it was our turn and he goes Iâll be right with you. We say âno problemâ for the next 3 minutes we stood there watching him go through the grubhub tablet pulling off an order and marking out cups for the order. All the while the line behind us was continuing to increase. Never once did he look up or ask another staff member (plenty of them there) to help the line in front of him. After 3 minutes I motioned to my wife to leave and I said to the guy âsee yaâ as we walked by. Without even looking up he goes âtake careâ - not even realizing that we were leaving and why we were leaving because his face was buried in the tablet.
Somewhere along the way customer service has gone out the window and it became all about giving better service to people who arenât even in the store yet as opposed to helping those right in front of you. â customer service is everything, and for that reason alone I will never step foot in that location again. I work hard for my money and I wonât...
Read moreThere's nowhere like Perfecto's. It's clean, it's tasty, you regularly see the owner there after like 30 years of owning the place, and you always see the same faces working there year after year, which really tells you something about how they operate. They do a huge business but the quality has actually even improved over the years.
The coffee is awesome. You could go once a week for decades and never have the same flavor twice. They must have a flavor alchemist in the back. It's amazing.
The breakfast sandwiches are all made fresh and always hot and delicious. Their bagel flavors are pretty standard for the North Shore, but they do tjem their own way and they're great for sandwiches. Eggs are scrambled style and microwaved, I do wish they did fresh eggs. At least give me option, I'll pay more. That's the only criticism, but do mot let that deter you. Try the farmer's sandwich, it's an experience. You dip it in maple syrup. What s concept.
Blueberry lemonade is incredible. Pastries are always beyond tempting. Lunch fare is fresh and on the healthy...
Read moreI was out of town, so I googled "closest bakery" on my way to visit with family. I stopped in, the shop was very small. I asked if everything was homemade and was told yes. I then asked for a variety of items to bring to someone's home. She looked at me like she had never been asked this before. To skip ahead, once everything I picked out was placed into three boxes and was told it was $45, I nearly had a coronary. She had spent so much time on me already and there was a line forming so I bit my tongue and paid. For $45, I received: 4 muffins, 4 small cookies, 3 coffee-cake-like pastries, 4 biscotti, and 3 peanut butter brownies. I immediately regretted my purchase before even trying anything. I thought, these better be amazing! Well, it wasn't! Everything I tried was JUST OK. I can't believe I spent so much on such sub-par baked goods! I didn't even get to try the coffee! Very disappointed. Lesson learned. Next time I'll just try a coffee (they had good sounding flavors). I should have just gone to Panera, where I would have gotten WAY more...
