March 27, 2021. I visited this establishment on the above date along with my brother-in-law, niece and her. husband After a lengthy wait we we're finally seated. Eventually a waitress came to our table and asked what would we like to drink. We gave the waitress our drink order and waited for our drinks for approximately fifteen minutes and, At that point we ordered our food. After about twenty minutes the waitress brought us our order. My brother-in-law ordered chicken fingers and fries. He asked the waitress how many chicken fingers came with the order and, she stated four. My niece and her husband ordered scrambled eggs and crispy bacon with emphasis on crispy. When the food finally arrived my brother-in-laws meal had only three chicken fingers and, they were from frozen, not fresh as was implied at the time he ordered. He questioned the waitress about it and she asked him if he would like something else and he said yes. The scrambled eggs that my niece and her husband ordered had some hair in it and the bacon was anything but crispy so, they asked the waitress to have it cooked crispy. When they finally got their order back, the bacon was crispy but, the eggs were cold and, the hair was still on the eggs. Since we usually patronized Mimi's as much as five times a week, we decided not to cause her any embarrassment by pointing it out. She took acception to my brother-in-law changing his order since it was misrepresented. When the waitress brought the replacement order, she proceeded to deliver Mimi's message that stated, and I quote, if we had any further complaints, we should go to the Waffle House because that would be more suited to our taste. We asked to speak to Mimi personally and The waitress said we could speak to her at three o'clock. Suddenly Mimi ran over to our table demanding that we leave her establishment, accusing us of cussing at her waitress and, of course none of that was true. She had falsely accused us in front of all the customers for effect, so those present would assume that it was her reason for telling us to leave. I've since discovered that Mimi has a standing history of throwing people out of her restaurant for criticizing her food. I sincerely believe that Mimi has a severe mental condition based upon everything I've learned since this unfortunate incident. It's is unconscionable that Mimi would treat my brother-in-law in such a Manor while dealing with the grief of loosing his wife the 10th of this month, To say the least, I personally will never step foot in this...
Read moreOk America, Peachtree City residents, and those of you in the local vicinity of Mimi's Café. I've been planning my visit to this restaurant for about two months and finally, I've arrived. Well, where do I start? Let's start from the greeting at the door. I walk in and I've got about two gentlemen who are engaged in satisfying the morning hunger with dishes that looked like they had been prepared by ya grandma who lives in South Georgia somewhere. So I knew that somehow, the reviews that I read about this place were on point. So as I'm walking in the gentlemen both speak, "Mornin", I respond back with a "Good Mornin"! As I approach the front of the establishment, there are two lovely ladies justa smiling like you was an invited guest at their house. They greet me as well. "Where would you like sit they ask, I state it doesn't matter, "if you don't mind, I'll sit here at the counter". Great, have a seat. Now I place my order, which was Mimi's "Big Breakfast, three eggs with cheese scrambled light, two sausage patties, grits, toast, and coffee. Y'all let me tell you why I order this dish. If the cook can get the eggs scrambled right, sausage isn't burnt, Grits not runny, and toast not burnt, then I know the rest of the breakfast dishes are on point. The reviews don't lie. It's true y'all. Mimi's Café is a hidden gem!!!!! Don't sleep on this place. get up early one morning you and your significant other or if you're single get out and try some real down home cooking. Ms. Mimi, thanks for making me feel at home. I'll be back fosho and gonna let all my family and friends know that this is the place for great fellowship and a good meal. Oh, and I'm a veteran too. I saw that you support the Troops....
Read moreMy daughter and wanted to go and try out Gotcha in Fayetteville, but realized it was closed today (Wednesday) My daughter told me to look up restaurants that was still serving Breakfast. So I came upon Mimi’s who had a 4.6 which was good to me. We were still impressed when we saw all the 100 scores on the window. They may as well had no Blacks allowed. Upon entering the restaurant, we stood there for a while, all the patrons were Seniors and Caucasians some looked at us but most kept eating their food. The ad said all employees wear mask, my daughter and I were the only two with masks. Finally one girl scampered to us and said we could sit anywhere. We chose a table away from the other patrons because they weren’t wearing masks and some were coughing (My daughter and I have underlying condition and haven’t gotten vaccinated yet) The two Caucasians guy behind the counter stares at us , the tall young one looks at us and was grinning, and the shorter one looked at us like what are you doing here. He yelled out look at the window, so the two guys went out and proceeds to fix the flags on the window. I told my daughter those were flags that they put up for Trump, I remember seeing them at the Gulf Shores. I asked my daughter, “Are we in the wrong place, or were they looking at us because of the masks.” So one of the waitress sort of nudge the slim young girl and told her we had been sitting for a while and no one had approached us. To make this shorter, this was the worst experience I have encountered and I won’t revisit Mimi’s but I guess she wouldn’t care, and quite frankly I...
