I really like this park! Very accessible and the perfect for family and friends. Definitely a park worth spending a day in. During the week, it is very relaxing and quiet. On weekends, it is popular place for many people. It turns into a social spot and an eventful space for the community. The amenities are something worth bragging about. There’s a little bit of everything. Baseball fields, volleyball courts with nets included, soccer fields with goals included (goals also have their corresponding nets). There are several playgrounds for kids, plenty of parking, seating all over the park, lots of wildlife, lots of vegetation, a nice trail / loop with cool designated viewing spots that’s about 2-3 miles long. I can go on and on…but how about you stop reading this, open up that GPS and check it out yourself. It’s definitely a place worth visiting at least once. You’re welcome 😎

This park has everything that you need! From baseball fields, soccer goals, a community center, covered patios with grill, 5 separate playgrounds, swings, and a great walking trail all the way in the back. The minimum is a 2 mile loop but there's a few bike trails offshoots as well as running around the rest of the park if you want to get more mileage. The trails all the way in the back are shaded for the most part. There's also hidden treasures like a gazebo and two tall structures you can climb to look at birds and plenty of spots to sit and chill. There's also a cute butterfly garden with a nice little fountain. I gave a 4 out of 5 because it's not the easiest place to navigate, kind of a weird entrance, and the walking trail isn't well marked so you don't know how long it is and where u are on the trail, and everything is kinda old.

The park continues to stay in bad condition. The playgrounds are old, except for 1 that was installed not long ago. The zip line section has been defective for many years. Out of the different playgrounds only 3 have shades. The swing section is missing swings. The single bench swing has ONLY the tube support, no chains, no swing. The playgrounds are old, paint flaking in most of the entire play area. Bolts and activity sections are rusted. The water splash pad area continues to not work, I have visited over the years and months and have NEVER seen it on for the kids to enjoy. Waste of tax payer money. The part continues to be in bad shape and no one for the park administration seems to give it priority. If this park was in the upper neighborhood areas, this would not happen. Sad to visit the park and see it getting worse on every visit.

I've have visited this park since I was a child and have always loved it. As a mother I am finding some things to be very difficult. To begin, the fact that they have a full restroom which remains locked most of the time is very stressful, it's already a small walk from the play ground, once you get there and figure out it's locked is very frustrating. They have port a toilets to make up for it, but they are definitely not preferred over a full working restroom, and they too are a bit of a walk from the play ground and splash pad. Now the splash pad, the hours for the splash pad are from "10 am to 8 pm" they shut the water OFF at 7 pm. I do not find this fair at all. Being a hot summer in Texas we like to arrive when the sun is not at it's highest so summer hours would be appreciated. For them to shut the water at 7 is kind of confusing when you expect to be there 'till 8 because there is definitely still enough light. The play ground area does need a lot of maintenance, some of the play grounds have rubber ground which is peeling off and becomes a hazard. Over all a good place to take the kids if you're not too picky but the city needs to work on...

Don't have ur daughters play at this southbelt fastpitch league. All they care about is taking ur money from the league fee to selling candies and concession. The board at this league treat teams unfair and if ur on the board and have a team dont expect them to be fair when it comes to tryouts, games and allstar tryouts. All board members are very rude unprofessional people. They yell at the parents. We had an awful time at this league they wouldnt help the team out. All the player agent would say forfeit or quit. What a way to tell ur players that the league wants u to be quitters. What are we teaching our girls when it comes to adults who themselves have been quitters all there life. The entire board needs to be replaced. The lights are broken and never gets fixed what happened too all the monies to care for these fields. Forget about ur daughter making AllStars cause the board member who has a team gets to take there entire team and dont even give the other teams a fair chance to be selected. What an example to teach the girls. Take ur daughter to play someplace else. Cause this league are cheaters...

El Franco Lee Park is a very beautiful park with so many options and activities to do and attend. The main activities to do or attend is the playgrounds, soccer fields, picnic areas and public restrooms. The picnic area has lots of room and a BBQ pit, it would be very nice to have a birthday party there. If you go down the road more you will see baseball fields to the left of the property, they used to have really good teams playing there but some stuff happened and a lot of people left but they are still nice fields to play on. At the very back of the property there is a trail with very nice views. To the right of the property there are football fields they host little league games during football season. their pewee team is very good they went undefeated last season. But overall the park is a very nice relaxing place to visit epically during the week because there is not as much people there rather than the weekend, because on the weekend there are a lot of games going on and...
