I just did a take out order for dinner - Tour of Sicily. It was amazing. I'm currently very full and waiting til I have a little room to try the Italian cream cake that I ordered for dessert. The bread and marinara are fantastic. The chicken parm is tender, savory, and delicious. Lasagna was fantastic. Fettuccini Alfredo is creamy and decadent. Here's the rest of the story. I also dined in at Arti's for lunch today. I'm in town for 5 more days and I'm certain I'll find time for at least two more visits. My impression is that this little hole-in-the-wall is an Italian family making family recipes in a one-horse Texas town that can't possibly deserve to be so lucky. If you're in Pecos for work, like me, and if you dread your time here because you know you'll be sick of the same old Mexican food and fast food long before you can get away, stop by Arti's or give them a call and pick up some top notch Italian food at great prices. If you're local...for the sake of all things holy, support this place. I still find Pecos pretty uninviting, but from now on, if work brings me here, I'll be looking forward to a visit to Arti's and some of the best Italian food...
Read moreOn my way back to south texas I decided to stop here for lunch and I am so happy I did. I heard good things about this place from a family member and i wanted to try it for myself. As soon as I walked in I knew it was going to be a good experience. You can tell the food is authentic Italian. The aroma of the cooking lingers around the restaurant and it’s so welcoming. It’s a small hole in a wall type of restaurant that you can honestly miss if you’re driving by. I ordered the supreme pizza and my husband ordered the tour of Sicily. Obviously I recommend the pasta dishes over the pizza. Don’t get me wrong, the pizza was delicious but my husband shared some of his plate with me and I was delighted with the pasta dish. The garlic bread and marinara sauce is to die for ! 100 Italian flavors. Nothing artificial about that Marinara sauce! Everything made with fresh ingredients. The pizza wasn’t crispy enough but everything else made up for it. We definitely will be going back! It’s a restaurant you must definitely stop by to try! Delicious! Oh I almost forgot, we ordered the ravioli appetizer as well. We were fighting to eat the last one by the end...
Read moreVisited my mother-in-law, and she suggested eating here. Started out with no parking nearby. Once we entered, the place was desolate inside, which was a little odd for dinner time. We took our seats, and the waitress came y and dropped off our menus and took our drink orders. When she brought our drinks, about 10 minutes later, we ordered our food. 30 to 40 minutes later, the waitress came back with our food, and I had to grab her by the arm to keep her from running off so I could get a refill on my water. Now to the food, although very cheesy, the food had almost no flavor. The portions were very small for the price and the bland taste of the food was disappointing. We never saw the waitress again for refills and would not come to the table when attempting to flag her down at the counter. After finishing our meal, we waited at the table for 25 minutes for our check to pay, but we could not get it. Had to go to the counter and wait for 5 minutes before we got our check to pay. Absolutely...
