The American king of Wings — Restaurant in Pecos

My Mom, my son and I were stranded in Pecos, TX yesterday and we had to call 911 for help. An officer picked us up from the Flying J truck stop and dropped us off at the Greyhound bus stop in town, we purchased tickets back home and were told that we had to wait out there for the bus. It was after 5pm the bus would be around 10:45pm that evening. We saw this place across the street and decided to go have dinner and wait out our time for the buses arrival.

The owner of the restaurant was very nice and let us stay while waiting for the bus. We ordered a pizza and the pizza was delicious! The beer was something to hit the spot after the day we had! We want to thank the owner of the restaurant for his hospitality and his positive conversation we had with him! Our day just kept getting worse until we entered his restaurant. If we ever go out that way again, we will definitely stop by to say hi, enjoy some good food and conversation! Thank you for letting us stay until we were able to board the bus! Where do I start....First, it's a seat yourself and pray that a waiter comes by, Second go up to front counter after 15 minutes of waiting, and get told a waiter will be by. Brings us back to step one seat yourself and pray. Front desk girl comes and takes my order while pleading to the guy that had been standing next to me this entire time for assistance, oh that was my waiter. Waiter listened shrugs and walk off, put in my drink and food order, front desk girl vanishes. Waiting for drink and appetizer....Waiter sees me and brings me a menu...I tell him I'm waiting for my drink, waiter disappears, reappears with another table drink...disappears....finnaly brings me a tea....30 minutes in, and I just got my tea.....I wait patiently for another ten hoping appetizer shows soon, table that arrived after me with several people gets served....I pay for my tea, and leave....will not...

This man knows his wings. Came in hoping for an honest basket of wings and fries after a long day at work. The man was chatting sports with a few regulars and quickly took my order. I was asked to describe exactly how I wanted them seasoned and cooked and it's exactly what I got.

Wings were huge and cooked to perfection, fries were fresh cut and fried right in front of me. Had a couple of cold beers while I waited. Ended up being a little pricey but I had to take half of them with me, they were that big. Only other place I've had wings this good was Vegas and it was substantially more .

Some of these reviews are pretty unfair. If you're a hangry party of 6 expecting to get your food in 10 minutes go to wingstop. He's a one man show. This is the equivalent to getting a bespoke handmade suit by a tailor versus grabbing something off the rack. Can't wait to...
