I lived in Pecos back in the early 1980's, and Dairy Mart was GREAT back then. Our family moved back to Florida in 1984 and I hadn't been back to Pecos until 2021 when I was returning home from California after moving my daughter there. It had changed alot, but I was surprised to find that Dairy Mart was still there and hadn't changed from what I remember. I told my other daughter that had rode out to California with me, all about how my parents would bring us to Dairy Mart for ice cream or hamburgers. The car hop was a nice young lady,started looking for pepper to put on our hamburgers found none asked for pepper she said they didn't give it out but they had it if I wanted some. We counted 23 packages of salt.
