New China — Restaurant in Pell City

I always order Seafood Delight or Shrimp with Mixed Vegetables with Vegetable Lo Mein Noodles and a Hot & Sour Soup. They have good food here and Vicky the Cashier is always nice to us.

This is a wonderful restaurant with very good Chinese food.

But there are some things that I would like to point out. I have two favorites with this place, Seafood Delight and Shrimp & Mixed Vegetables. I have been having to get the All Day Combo here lately since the meals that are together and it is cheaper. I normally switch it back and forth and get Seafood Delight and then Shrimp & Mixed Vegetables the next time, but Seafood Delight is always too high because it only lets you get one of it in a container. The Seafood Delight needs to be cheaper with better deals. Also, when I ordered the All Day Combo today, instead of an Egg Roll, I asked for a Hot & Sour Soup. The Hot & Sour Soup is what I always get anyway. But it is never in a little bitty bowl. I always get a medium sized bowl of it. This bowl today was no bigger than a fingernail. I really think there needs to be some price adjustments or better deals on some of the foods that I mentioned plus they need to give larger containers of the soup rather than small fingernail size containers. Overall the food is excellent but the customer service is lacking. I called and ordered a pint of hot and sour soup and wasn't told there was a 10 dollar minimum to pay with a card over the phone. But that's what they told me when I arrived and wouldn't do it unless I paid for 10 dollars of food. So I had to order 2 soups in order to get my lunch. Had I been told I could have hit the atm on the way. And to top it off they left out a crispy noodle pack I paid a extra dollar for as well. Such a shame because the food is excellent. I will give it another chance but this wasn't a great experience. Average at best on...

New China’s food is soooo yummy!!! The best thing on the menu is their steamed pork dumplings that comes with their dumpling dipping sauce and omg nomnomnom. Also, their crab wontons and egg rolls are both phenomenal. As far as entrees are concerned, their ‘chicken w/ garlic sauce’ is my go-to, but most of the time I order the dumplings as my entree. Very, very friendly people/service, too. New China ranks among my top places to get take-out in Pell City and they’ve been in the same location forever....
