Visited this place on Friday night. Service was VERY, VERY, VERY slow. Took forever to get our appetizers. Our waiter did check on us a few times and each time said the "apps" will be out soon. The appetizers were the best part of our dinner. Cheese curds were very good and so was the pretzel charcuterie board. Corn appetizer wasn't anything special, just average. For meals, the mac and cheese was not good at all. My berry/chicken salad had barely any strawberries and a dry piece of grilled chicken. Hardly any kind of dressing on the salad as the greens were tasteless and dry. I was told the burgers were average but the sweet potato fries were good. $16 for nachos and over half of them were bare, the meat tasted odd like it was bathed in lemon juice or something. Drinks took forever to come because the only bartender was overwhelmed and working alone. Waited at least ten minutes for a drink while sitting at the bar because the poor guy had no help whatsoever and their fancy drinks take quite a while to make when you’re the only one bartending for the entire establishment. Stopped by for lunch while looking for a spot with a good vibe—and this place totally delivered. It wasn’t crowded, so my food came out fast, and it hit the mark with quality and portion size. Highly recommend it, especially during the Nationals.
