I ordered chicken quesadilla and my other half ordered a burrito with refried beans on the side. The chicken in the quesadilla appeared and tasted like tough, inedible BBQ'ish beef. The red sauce of his burrito was so over spiced and hot it was inedible. Though the red sauce did somewhat mask the rancid flavor of the bean sauce on that half of the burrito but not so much that you couldn't taste there was something really wrong with that bean sauce. The other half of the burrito was made with green sauce. Taking a bite of that end wasn't helping things. The green sauce was so overloaded with cilantro it was also inedible. Tasting the (bare) refried bean side, it confirmed there in lay the overall problem with his plate. They tasted as if they have been cooked in sewer water. I'm not exactly sure what that should taste like but that's what these tasted like. Unfit for human consumption. We both rejected our plates and re-ordered a simple grilled chicken quesadilla. When it was presented I cut it in half and gave half to my companion. Even though the tortilla on the quesadilla was obviously cooked on a grill not cleaned recently (tasting of old scorched oil) my half was somewhat edible. His half though had been smeared with a sizable glob of the nasty bean dip/sauce beneath the grilled chicken. He almost had to spit out the first bite he took. It was even worse than the burrito. Maybe the chef was some guy who was trying to cook for the first time but I think most would do better than this. Hope this was not typical of all the restaurants in...
Read moreIf I could post negative stars I would. Husband and I got carry out to go to The Tibbs drive-in on Saturday 9.21.24 at 8pm. First of all the enchilada sauce taste like straight up tomato paste right out of the can 🤢. The esquite was watery and taste like miracle whip 🤮. The birria were a joke! All they did was slow cook some beef with zero seasonings...just water, cilantro and peppers, and put them in hard taco shells as if I wouldn't notice. Anyone who has had birria knows that they are made with lightly fried white corn tortillas and then baked with birria meat and Mexican cheese. I wish I would've saved the 55.00 we spent on this barely edible food and drove 25 mins the opposite direction to my favorite Mexican restaurant in Anderson. I guarantee it would've taste much better and been 20 bucks cheaper. I will NEVER come back and I most certainly WILL NOT visit the other two locations in...
Read moreMy wife and I absolutely love Mexican Food. It is our favorite. The first time I ever tried Tequila Sunrise was in Brownsburg about a year ago. I ordered Carnita Street Tacos. The best I’ve ever had in my life. About 2 months ago, I was driving home; we live in Pendleton, and I saw that Tequila Sunrise opened up in the retail center where Sahms used to be. I couldn’t believe it and was so excited to tell my wife. We eat there once a week; both dine in and delivery. The Street Tacos delivered are the best deal you can get on the market. $35 for 9 tacos, rice and beans, chips and salsa, roasted whole jalapeños, sautéed onions, limes . . . OMGAWD!!!! Carne Asada and Carnitas. You have to try it. You won’t regret it. Thank you Tequila Sunrise! You...
