Super Smash Burgh — Restaurant in Penn Hills

My fiancé and I recently had the pleasure of visiting Super Smash Burgh and let me tell you, the burgers were delicious!

Let me begin by saying that we only had the burgers because we had been at another establishment not long before and had eaten some small bites. But we were going to pass Super Smash Burgh and had heard such great things about it that we decided to stop by. First and foremost, the burgers were perfectly cooked, juicy and packed with flavor. What impressed me further was the range of toppings available. The regular Smash burger comes with carmelized onions and their special sauce. I added lettuce and tomato to mine. My fiancé opted to add bacon to his. So yummy! Also, I loved the fact that the bun did not overwhelm the burger. The potato bun was just perfect for the burger. I don’t like having to bite into a loaf of bread to get to the burger.

It was not busy when we went in and did not call ahead. We were in and out in 10 minutes. We got to meet the owner, Marcus who was friendly and personable and he thanked us for stopping by.

We will definitely stop back again to try other items on the menu (I love wings!) but we were very impressed after this...

Burger wasn't bad at all, Very good in fact. But unfortunately, everything else wasn't that great. I feel bad leaving negative comments, but we gave them a $10 tip, and they didn't even bother to call our order. Service was really bad. ( to be fair it was extremely busy, but take that with a grain of salt..) they said it'd be about 15 minutes. We Waited maybe 25 min while other people got their food before us who arrived and placed their order well after ours. Finally get our food and most of it was wrong. There was condiments and toppings we did not ask for and other things missing. We ordered onion rings and received none. All the fries were at the bottom of the bag, smashed and soggy.. Over all I'm pretty bummed with the experience, but really enjoyed the burger even though it was wrong. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Not opposed to it again in the future after they get the swing of things! Hopefully it was just a crazy night and...

The staff is great! I've been here twice now and the service has been great! The 1st meal I ordered, wasn't what I thought I was getting. Some writing on the menu said "if you request them". I asked for the Kids and assumed I was getting the carmilized onion and the other few things it read under Kids meal. That one was my mistake. What I was really upset about is that I had a quarter inch thick CHUNCK of lettuce on 1/3 of my patty. I also asked for mustard and ketchup on it and the ketchup was way too much. I also also ordered a cup of cheese I didn't receive, but the fries were good. Today, I ordered a Kids Smash again. This time I got the carmilzsd onion, pickle, lettuce, ketchup and bacon. The chef forgot the bacon. I'm a give this place one more try because I love small and local businesses. I can't support if it's not to my liking. Yes! Give this...
