Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Penn Township

The prices are out of this world! The last time I went sometime last year, I thought jeez I don't want to go to this one, their prices are higher. Then we went again yesterday and it was like OMG they're out of their minds! We had previously gone to the Gettysburg location (not since last year) and the prices at that location were better despite it being a tourist town. Hanover is not a tourist town, it's not prime real estate, it's not near a beach or some other exciting attraction that draws in boatloads of visitors. It's a freaking small town in a rural area. There's a lot of competition for desserts in this town. No reason to spend $25 for treats for the family. I will go elsewhere until the manager/owner comes back down to earth. Soft serve is way overpriced, and the Italian ice is just ice and syrup. Give me a break. They're either making money hand over fist or they're making up for having to pay rent or...

I love Rita’s, but I don’t like paying the prices that this location charges. They seem to charge vacation destination prices. But besides that, the staff is always pleasant and the product is tasty!
