El Cabrito Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Penn Township

Just moved from South NJ, where we have some of the best and most authentic Mexican food. My husband and I stopped in to try out some tacos and this place did not miss! The restaurant owner was very sweet and pleasant. The customer service was 10/10. The place is spacious with a lot of seating and beautifully decorated with cultural art. We ordered tacos, I wanted to try a variety so I ended up getting one al pastor, carnitas, and steak taco, my husband got three al pastor. We didn’t order ahead but the food didn’t take long to make which was good. We asked for the order to go and the owner made sure we had napkins etc. The tacos were 10/10. It came on a plate wrapped in foil, our three tacos with avocado salsa verde and a salsa roja on the side. Tacos all came with onion and cilantro, as well as a slice of lime and sliced radishes which to me is the most authentic way. Special bonus for the cebollita 🧅 included, that’s the extra touch of authenticity I always look for when looking for a good taco place. Our favorite was the al pastor tacos but they were all super delicious!😋 Unfortunately no pictures since the tacos looked and smelled way too good to wait any longer….but there will be a next time. Highly recommend this place, super surprised they weren’t super busy because the service and food alone are amazing. The cherry on top was the price for everything, after getting six tacos and two sodas, with tip, we spent less than $25!! In this economy?! That’s a steal!...

Wanted to try this place out and decided to get take out for lunch. This area has a lot of great Mexican options and the standard is high. I am unsure of my opinion of the food honestly. We got a chicken quesadilla and chicken fajitas. The quesadilla was fine but a bit bland, though the verde sauce on the side was amazing and rescued it. The fajitas themselves were very good but the tortillas were underdone and we didn’t eat them. The chips that came with my quesadillas were also very underdone and not edible. The rice and beans however were very good. Overall it seemed like the food was prepped well but executed poorly at service. I think there is potential but for now I will have to stick with the top options in the area like La Libertad. I wish you...

We were visiting in mount Airy Md from idaho, and stopped here for lunch while scouting homes in the area. I had the tacos de carnitas and they were outstanding! My wife had tacos pollo, also outstanding! The service was very friendly and helpful - the hostess was very cordial. The atmosphere is very nice, clean and pleasant.
