Hello! Long time since I have posted an honest review. I appreciate it because it is very close to where I work. I like the ambiance it brings me back to where I used to live. Pros: the food is tastes good. I ordered the first thing on the breakfast menu with a medium Americano. Staff is friendly. Brought coffee and meal to the table. Open space and large tables make it easy to eat and study your books. I’d hold small group meetings here. Cons: only an opinion but I would lower the music volume a liiiiitle bit. I admit I am that person who asked the server at Eat n’ Park to lower the volume because I could not hear what my friends were saying. Also to prevent what happened at McDonald’s about a decade ago, I would print “caution: hot coffee” on the cup. Lastly, a bit strange, but the tator tots were lukewarm on the cooler side. Thanks for reading~

I was excited to check out Sweet Buzz while in town -- Penn Township/Harrison City needed a local coffee shop, so I think this is a great concept! The first day that I stopped by, it was closed (had to dig through the Facebook page to find the holiday hours, as I didn't see them on the website). Luckily I made it back for lunch and had the Chicken Black Bean skillet. The dish was not great...egg at the bottom of the skillet was overcooked, there were almost no black beans or corn, too much chicken and cheese, the spinach wasn't even wilted, and there was no seasoning. This dish could be easily improved; I hope it will be in the future! I would like to return to try the coffee, and will hopefully be able to do so in a few years -- it would be great to see a neighborhood place like this do well.

I can't seem to make up my mind about this cute, little place. The drinks become pleasantly better each visit, however, the staff I have ecountered, while kind, aren't very knowledgeable. I understand they are younger kids and maybe this is a first job so I'm patient but it does make trying something new or altering favorites a bit difficult. Overall, while not my favorite joint I do want to support my local community and will continue popping in.

Update 7/12/25. I am disappointed today. Eaten from here 1-2 times a week the last couple years and have treated employees/friends/family here. It was my favorite restaurant.

Saturdays I place a pickup order that my husband brings to work. We didn't know about the renovation; husband missed the sign on the door, walked in like usual. A woman walked up on him and berated him when he tried to clarify he was there for a pickup order. He didn't realize he had to pickup outside this week. He apologized and said that was new for him and she lashed at him with a "I can't control it, I just work here!". He apologized again and brought me the order, mentioned that there was someone he hadn't seen before who was really rude to him, he wasn't going to elaborate, I asked him to because it's out of the ordinary. I called and spoke with someone who also explained the renovation which I understood, my concern wasn't with the renovation, it was why the person snapped out on my husband. I was definitely upset. He is one of the quietest, sweetest, most laid back people and didn't deserve that for a simple mistake.

I asked for a manager to call me back and she did (Tricia), while she was polite and said she would ask the new employee to soften their tone, said "the staff and other patrons have a bit of a different story of what happened". I thought I misheard that; my husband and the lady who snapped at him were the only people in the dining area when that happened. But he heard the same thing about a "different story" on the phone call. This upsets me more, that in the time it took for the GM to call me back, someone not only lied about what happened, and made out my husband to be someone he isn't, but it was implied that he lied about it in the first place. Really??? That he would just make something up about a place that we love where we are usually treated politely? GM said that pickup orders would normally be available in the pickup area by the door "like usual" but in all our time picking up orders here, we have never grabbed an order by the door. 100% of the time we have had to go to the counter to get the order or wait in line to get to it.

I reached out because I believe the way he was treated today was unacceptable, not appreciated, and I wanted the concern to be heard and understood, not implied that he lied about it. This is not about the renovation, was not upset about that; the woman's reaction was way out of proportion. I'm sure that the other side of the phone call today will be "a bit of a different story". I don't feel like my concern was resolved, at all. I just said thank you and hung up.

If one of my employees acted like that, I would own it, and my apology would be sincere. Mistakes happen, and people have bad days.

It's the first time I've had a customer service issue here; it is the...

I want to start off by expressing how much it upsets me to have to leave this review. I have always enjoyed this establishment but I feel that my most recent experience constitutes a review.

Yesterday 7/12/25, I came in to pick up a takeout order for my wife and I. I walked inside like I usually do and noticed that the register had been moved up to the main entrance. As I began to notice the empty dining area, an employee came out from the back with a bag and rudely asked if she could help me. I stated that I was just there for a pickup order. She asked for the name and handed me the bag she was carrying and said "you have to pick it up outside at the food truck!". I apologized and told her that was new for me, to which she replied "I don't know what to tell you. I just work here!". I proceeded back outside and that was when I noticed the sign on the door regarding a renovation. I waited while the employee got my drink from the food truck. She handed me the drink, shoved a straw in my bag and I left. The entire time, she appeared to be bothered just by my presence.

When my wife called to speak to the manager about this incident, the manager stated that she recieved a different story from the other employees and patrons. I might add that the bulk of this interaction happened INSIDE the dining area, where there were no other patrons and no other employees in sight.

I understand that the dining area must be closed for renovations, but I don't feel like a simple mistake such as missing the sign warranted the inappropriate reaction from the employee. Furthermore, the response from the manager tells us that the establishment does not value its customers opinions or experiences. Having worked in the hospitality industry in the past myself, I am typically VERY patient and understanding. A simple "sorry, our dining area is closed today" would have sufficed and I don't appreciate the implication that I am a liar. Therefore, I will take my business elsewhere...

First time to this restaurant today. Food truck outside took order of a salad and I sat outside to wait for my food. Waited almost 40 minutes and asked the girl who took my order in the truck what was taking so long…. She said she would check on it and when she never gave me an update and I sat another 10 minutes I went in to check on my food myself. I saw from the inside it was clear the ticket was never give to them inside. Again I have no idea what kind of bizarre system they are running where you pay for food and order outside and they cook inside ??? In any case after almost an hour I left and never received my salad! There is no way a salad takes an hour and this operation is awful! I warn you all not to go there - you will sir be bit and bothered by tons of bees (the irony) and pay a fortune for food snd service you will NEVER receive!!! Waste of time if you ask me!!! Word of mouth in the restaurant business is everything and this sad establishment better hope more people don’t have this horrible experience I did- they won’t last !!!! Just say no!!! Keep driving !!! Go somewhere where they actually give you the food...
