Margie's Cuisine — Restaurant in Pennsbury Township

Visiting Longwood Gardens and wanted to grab a bite before heading back to the office. The reviews for Margie's were excellent and well deserved! The restaurant is on the smaller side sitting next to a wellness store, Husk. There was plenty of parking in the lot. I walked in after 12:30 on a Tuesday and had no problem with being seated. There are only a handful of tables, maybe 10 or so. There was a very nice young man 12ish (I assume the Owner's son) who greeted me, seating is open. The menu is limited but the food is excellent. The Owner waited on me, she was very patient and explained the menu which is Columbian inspired. I had the chicken salad on a toasted croissant with a side of lettuce/chopped veggies. Everything about this place is amazing, I would rate it higher if I could! Everything is made fresh, the sandwiches are so well balanced, and it's got a cozy atmosphere. The soul of cuba has actual roast pork on it that I could eat all by itself, the passion delight is nice and sweet but not too sweet with a fresh made croissant that's beautifully crispy. The sandwiches also came with a little spring mix salad with pesto pasta in it that was delightful. The empanadas are baked to order and delicious, with the traditional ground beef filling. Extremely convenient to stop if you're visiting Longwood gardens, the Brandywine Art Museum, or any of the antique malls in the area. Incredible Colombian style food with a flair for dramatically good tasting everything!! . Colombian inspired, but something for everyone. Margie’s Cusine is a family run business with high quality food items. Latin bowl was an A Plus, salad was a 10 out of 10, empanadas were to die for. The cheese bread was the best I have ever had, here or abroad. All the food is cooked with love and phenomenal. The cookies and coffee were some of the best I have ever had also.. excellent rice and bean- this restaurant is much needed for the area. This food is completely different than the hundreds of Mexican style eateries near by, a welcomed addition to the community and we hope it is here for many years to come. We plan to come every week.
