We went there on Friday night 3/8/19 and nothing was fresh, clean, or worth spending our money on. Everything was bland, did not taste like Golden Corral used to taste (about 6 months ago) and they stopped washing dishes since we went there last. They clearly only spray them off now, as evidenced by the bits of food on every single plate I attempted to use. The problem seems to lie in the fact that you have several low-class men working (and constantly yelling) in the kitchen, not cooking or cleaning properly, serving old, unseasoned food. They had one obviously overworked waitress running around like a chicken with her head cut off trying to make things look presentable. She really tried. I have to give her that. I hope she reads this and realizes she can get a better job. Never mind the fact that when you walk in the left side of the building, it looks like someone is doing a science project on your floor, meaning it’s absolutely FILTHY and needs SWEPT and SCRUBBED. The real kicker was the manager, who could see I was visibly grossed out and annoyed by how horrendous one of my favorite restaurants had become. She came over to our table and “questioned” me, asking if she could “get me something else” in a very insincere way. I did not trust that. What else could she have given me to eat? It was all old. Maybe a spit tater from Jethro in the back? No thanks. Btw, I’m working class, so you can smash that little “snob” thing you may want to label me as. She didn’t offer me my money back, which is exactly what I would have done, and YES, I have been a manger at two food establishments. I got the impression that she felt I was the one being unreasonable, because how dare I be disgusted by something so gross? I guess my house is just that dirty and my standards should just be that low. I’m not sure what your company policy is on refunds, but she should have offered, because I ate NOTHING after attempting to eat the roast and potatoes. That place is absolutely disgusting. Throw old food away and stop scaring customers away. Get a better night manager. Get rid of low-class people who can’t cook or clean properly, who yell behind the buffet, and turn down my friendly request to make me a bag of cotton candy at 8:34 pm - literally 30 seconds after making two bags for some kids. There are plenty of decent workers you could hire. You don’t have to hire such terrible workers....are you guys not paying your managers and employees enough?? If so, you...
Read moreI called Golden corral approximately the third week of February stating I needed to have a reservation for March 9th for 35-40 people. I was told I needed to call back closer to the event to give a number of how many people I would be bringing with me. When I called they told me that they could not accommodate my reservation but I could come early and pick out seats that would NOT be all together, and we would have an approximate 1 hour wait. The woman said she would speak to her manager and call me right back. When my phone rang I answered it, I said hello three times, and the woman and a man were swearing and saying something about someone with seniority. I don't know if they were referring to me, but I hung up. Approximately 1 minute later the phone rang again, I answered it, and there was more swearing and I said in a very loud voice "hello" , and the woman said the same thing "we can't accommodate you so come an hour early." I told this woman about hearing so much swearing going on, and some of the remarks being said and she said "oh okay well thank you" and hung up. The 40 friends I was planning on bringing with me, will no longer ever go to Golden corral in Hermitage, if this is the way you are treated on a phone call, I can't imagine how you would be treated in the restaurant. Golden corral you need to do better and hire new management for that location. Sincerely, Unhappy with GC...
Read moreI used to really like the Golden Corral. Last night my husband and I went with our 3 small children, and we paid well over $50 for our meal. We decided to stay despite being warned that we'd only have 45 minutes to eat. Both ends were shut off for private parties, though one did not have anyone in it. We were all forced to sit in the middle 2 sections. On the cooked food bar, none of the vegetables were cooked. The zucchini was uncooked, the peppers and onions were uncooked, and the red potato chunks were clearly uncooked. We were eating, and a fight broke out between one of the partons and the cooks, very close to where we were sitting, in front of our small kids. The waitresses surrounded the fight I assume to protect the cook, and you could not move through the area. They were screaming at each other. The patron left, and the cook and the other cook (from the hot foods bar) continued to loudly talk about the incident, and talk about shooting the man patron who was just threatening him, in front of my children. My husband threw up directly after returning home, and my eldest daughter and I both had diarrhea before we even left. We paid a great deal of money for the worst, most trashy, non family/child friendly, and physically sickening meal any of us have ever experienced in our lives. We will not ever be returning to the Golden Corral again. If I could give this review a...
