PAY ATTENTION THAT NO ONE IS EVER IN THE DRIVE THRU!!! I used to come here multiple times a week because I literally live in walking distance. But no more. I gave a two star because the food itself is delicious.. so they earned an extra star.. but I truly feel they deserve a one star. My experience here has slowly declined. First the prices sky rocketed. $8 for a bean and cheese burrito? What? The the portions started to decline.. A few weeks ago I ordered a chorizo and egg burrito with a horchata. The lady repeated back my order and gave me a total somewhere around $17. When I got my food she told me have a good day. I asked about my drink and she said she didn't charge me for it "sorry" instead of offering to ring me up for it (although I was certain that was included in my total). I didn't argue the lady because lucky for THEM, their receipts only give you a total, doesn't tell you what items make up the total... so it was a lost cause and I wasn't going to sit in the drive thru and argue with her. Even though lets face, $17 is WAY over priced for a chorizo and egg burrito and if it truly did include the horchata they just wanted to make an extra buck, screw them even more. Last night I paid $30 for super nachos, 3 rolled tacos and 2 churros. This was my LAST ditch effort to give this place a try hoping maybe it was a fluke when I went a month ago. Even at $15 for super nachos, which is nuts, you absolutely cannot justify another $15 for three rolled tacos and 2 churros? And even then, my bag was so light it could’ve blown away. Take your money to Manuel’s and grab a drink while you’re at it. Your total still probably...
Read moreMy experience there was horrible! I expected really good food with the amount of money I paid for, and possibly good customer service. When I ordered my food, I asked for all the condiments on the side, but didn't expect my meat to be a side too! So because of that they gave me a little bit of meat for my super nachos, ans MORE chips. Of course I wasn't happy or satisfied with that so I turned around and asked politely if I can get just a little bit more meat to satisfy my money's worth. When I pulled up to the drive-through, the old employee, the guy, was very rude! First by not listening to what I had to say, or understanding my situation, making it seem like I'm asking for sooo much, all I asked and wanted at this point was to get accommodated for a little more meat. LOL. He kept telling he can't do anything and I was wasting my time. And their procedures on how things work out "for them" and not the customer. Then I asked for his "boss". Even his boss told him to just give me my money back. All that talk for nothing when he could of just offered that option instead. At this pointless stage just I took that offer, but then he tried to have me give all my food back, I WAS LIKE WHAT? I only want what I complained about. Haha, no way. At the end all that drama for some meat just lose a potential customer and to lose money 💰. Crazy. All they had to do was accommodate for a customer. 🤷🏻♀️I would been back. Overall the employee was really rude and customer service was not satisfactory for my time and money. Try and complain to them and see...
Read moreUpdating my previous review which was 5 stars. My family and I have been going to Herrera's Mexican Food for years. Lately the service has been poor and the prices are becoming outrageous. A couple examples:
Went there last week, paid with a card so I pay the .70 cent fee, which is an annoyance but I'm becoming accustomed to it. The issue was the employee got my order wrong and I had to pay separately for an item she forgot to ring up. They refused to waive the card fee, and when I suggested taking .70 cents off the price of the item she agreed (so it would even out) however looking at both receipts after I paid she did not.
We typically order the same thing every time we go there, however this week I ended up paying $5 more than last week which they state are price increases, however looking at the menu it was not updated but the new prices were on the receipts. Not right! Please notify your customers of changes proactively!
Not to mention when asking for salsa the employees are beginning to act like the cost is coming from their own pockets... if I pay more than $30 for some food I would like to get more than 2 salsas.
I hope the owner and managers take this feedback seriously, because I really enjoy(ed) visiting this...
